Voted for him twice! Love many things about him. However, I'm not the girl who's going to follow him over a cliff any more than I am the girl who worships the establishment Bushies! I want a populist CONSERVATIVE that can win & displays an ability to learn from mistakes and remembers that none of this is supposed to be about him! 🙄

As a woman, I must agree with you. What I’ve read about the suffragette ladies doesn’t show them in a good light.
But you probably voted for Maverick and Mitt...and would have voted for GHWB too if you were old enough. I'm guilty on all 3 counts, because that's what we were left with. There's nothing wrong with backing another candidate until they're out of the primaries, but to come out long before the primaries start saying who you won't vote for in 2024, when that person is very likely going to be the GOP candidate, means you won't vote against Biden/Harris in 2024.

DeSantis seems to have all the right conservative values and actions, but is boring. He most likely could win the primaries. Can he win in a general election? Maybe — but only if Trump endorses him and stumps for him endlessly on the campaign trail.

Personally I’m horrified by his endorsement of swamp creature Morgan ortagus and would really like an explanation because it really has me doubting Trump.

Thank you! In many ways he’s like Trump, sacrificing his fortune to save America. People don’t like his personality, either (including me), but he’s a fighter. He’s rough, but his heart is in the right place. I don’t understand why so many, including FReepers, would rather lose our liberty than tolerate some less-than-polished persona (Trump and Lindell).
