Tired of Trump! I'm So Ready For Someone Else!

Posted on 02/26/2022 8:31:44 PM PST by redheadedshannon

Voted for him twice! Love many things about him. However, I'm not the girl who's going to follow him over a cliff any more than I am the girl who worships the establishment Bushies! I want a populist CONSERVATIVE that can win & displays an ability to learn from mistakes and remembers that none of this is supposed to be about him! 🙄

“I want a populist CONSERVATIVE that can win “

Talking points. Rote. Word for word.

Just today on another thread, another anti-Trump poster:

“Someone who is conservative who can win.”

Rush called you seminar callers.

Who is providing you with the script?

I will vote for Trump again but I do wish he would learn what is important and not go off NY style on everyone and everything crosses his mind or that is not important, E.G railing On Colin Powell when he died.

Women and independents hate that sort of thing.

Trump needs to win by 10 to off set their cheating

I like that you think out of the box.

Did you just call her a 'box'?

Misogynist.

YES I’M YELLING.

THANK YOU SO MUCH, WARDADDY, FOR AN EXCELLENT SUMMATION OF WHAT I WAS THINKING.

Think outside the box??? Little catch phrases created by people who think outside the deep thinking, common sensical people who have real solutions, but really, really crave attention.

Trump is not a conservative. He’s a populist. Anyone saying he is, doesn’t understand how the man thinks. Just because most of his policies are in line with conservatism, doesn’t make him one.

DeSantis in FL, Youngkin in VA. Who else in the R party other then these two? In terms of Offices with national recognition, who else other then these two?
They are outliers, Stop dreaming. if they weren’t, we wouldn’t be in this position the country’s in.

Conservatism doesn’t sell to the younger crowds. Most of them are socialists or “moderates” per their word choice.
Media has pushed conservatism as neonazism, fascism, ect. and these young kids get put in schools with commies teaching them the above things. And we keep sending our kids there expecting them to come out straight.
The left is succeeding in their cultural rot and vilification of Conservatism.

Whether or not anyone can win the Presidency as a Republican depends entirely on ditching voting machines and abjuring by-mail voting and by Republican observers staying in all vote counting centers until all of it is finished.

“Fear into RINOs”!? Please, enough with the jokes. How many DC RINOs did Trump bring down? The corporate DC RINO Judases are ALL still there. And why isn’t Trump still there? Because he was ran out of town on a rail by those very same DC RINO Judases.

“I’ve never been a fan of cults of personality.”

That implies that you think PDJT won — TWICE — because of his personality?! If anything, his personality turned off voters.

The first time he won was of his conservative promises, added to the fact that voters knew his history of achievements and strength. He kept those promises, at least as many as he could, considering that all of DC thwarted him at every turn.

The second time he won was because immigration was in check, evildoers in power the world over were afraid of him, his economy kicked ass, and America was in the best place it’s been in many decades. If you minimize that by calling voters a “cult”, you need a new dictionary.

“he can’t hold back his bitterness over his loss and is lashing out.”

Considering that PDJT won the election by a landslide but isn’t in the White House, his “bitterness” is amazingly restrained. If you aren’t bitter, then you’re in the wrong forum here on FR.

If conservatism didn’t sell in modern elections, then how did Trump, DeSantis & governor of Virginia win elections?

They won because their opponents were SO EFFING REPULSIVE. And if it weren't for Trump, DeSantis would have lost. Your weak, suburban housewife moderation, while winning an occasional election, has lost the moral fabric of America since the days of Barry Goldwater. You are an unseriousness person living in a dangerous moment in history. Your child-like comment makes it easy to support a repeal of the 19th amendment.

“ITS NOT ABOUT HIM!”

Technically, it isn’t “about him”. But, practically, an election ALWAYS is about the candidate. That’s why the phrase a candidate “who can win”. All other things being equal, the most attractive, bombastic, charismatic person will win.
