This is how progressive government “public health” fails us. Vitamin D, zinc, quercetin are all well-known, completely harmless, and above all CHEAP. The evidence of their effectiveness is clear
Yet Government and the “political health” agencies would never promote this, or even suggest it, to the nation.
Don’t be fat.
Get outside in the sunshine and fresh air.

Per day...... I take triple that. The bare minimum that I have read to minimize the severity of Covid is 2000-3000. Some people take more than that.
Vitamin D under 10000 a day causes no ill effects.
It is criminal that this has not been put out there by our public health authorities. It is inexplicable that doctors are not (on their own) recommending it to all of their patients.
The studies are very clear. Vitamin D may be the easiest and least controversial remedy to prevent severe Covid. Cheap and effective yet they are not pushing it?

It’s the other way round
Vitamin D3 has been shown and proven by many daily users here to effectively prevent various respiratory problems. The chemistry is such that hormones that prevent problems in the respiratory organs are produced by vitamin D3.
Covid is at root a respiratory disease.
How so?
But of course that wouldn't make the politicians rich on the vaccine stocks!

I have no argument with your dosage. That is what I take in warm months when I get some sun.
Beginning in say November, I get no sun at all and find that the increase assures no respiratory problems. I will revert to 5,000 probably in April when I can get out and about.
It’s outdated, for one. Over a year ago it was shown that people with good D levels rarely got Covid.
Besides other supplements and vitamins, I take Vit. D (5000iu), Zinc, Vitamin C, and Quercetin daily to help ward off Covid. I also take Turkey Tail - it’s excellent for the immune system.
During the height of the scandemic, people were not allowed on beaches and were told to go come to their crowded apartment complexes.
We take 4,000 per day.
