The 78-year-old comedian finally addressed claims that he was very difficult to work with on the sets of “Saturday Night Live” and the TV series “Community.”
In an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning,” Chase explained how it didn’t bother him when he heard that his former co-stars had bad experiences working with him.
“I guess you’d have to ask them. I don’t give a crap!” he laughed. “I am who I am. And I like where — who I am. I don’t care,” he continued. “And it’s part of me that I don’t care. And I’ve thought about that a lot. And I don’t know what to tell you, man. I just don’t care.”

Best line in Vegas Vacation was by he dealer: “You again Griswald. Why don’t you just give me $50, I’ll kick you in the nuts and we will call it even “
Yeah agree, but I think it was more due to the writing.
Good for Chevy. Don’t give any F$&ks, the bastards in Hollywood demands your submission so the best revenge is to make your money and give them NOTHING.
Wallace Shawn, if I recall.
I think he was the guy who was there when SNL was funny...
I believe you’re right!
I still prefer Rodney Dangerfield and Don Rickels over any of the SNL crowd except Gilda.
He didn’t look like Gerald Ford either but.....
Except for pound me too.🤔
He was also funny doing his slow burn in a movie called Funny Farm.
Right. I went back and looked at a youtube of that performance and unless you knew he was spoofing Ford, because you knew that Ford had fallen and was allegedly clumsy, there was nothing in the performance that resembled Ford — looks, voice, nothing. SNL has been known for some great impressions, but this wasn’t one of them.
He was born a poor black child.😏
He got outfunnied again by Goldie, Charles Grodin, Yvonne Wilder as housekeeper Aurora de la Hoya, the two bank robbers, Chester the driver and Harold Gould as the long suffering judge in “Seems Like Old Times.”
Interestingly enough, the area known as Chevy Chase (which compasses a portion of Northwest D.C. and a portion of Montgomery County Md.) also got its name from that very same ballad; I found out after doing more research. 🙂
All of them were great comedians, each with their unique comedy style. 🙂
I miss norm.
“Laugh In” was far more preferred around the Campus. SNL was OK if you had enough alcohol and pot.
I can understand where he comes from on this. These are all Hollywood actors, and I don’t care about what they also.
Actually he’s not ... and he is one heck of an underrated banjo player. :-)
I thought Chevy Chase was a neighborhood in LA.
