The 78-year-old comedian finally addressed claims that he was very difficult to work with on the sets of “Saturday Night Live” and the TV series “Community.”
In an interview with “CBS Sunday Morning,” Chase explained how it didn’t bother him when he heard that his former co-stars had bad experiences working with him.
“I guess you’d have to ask them. I don’t give a crap!” he laughed. “I am who I am. And I like where — who I am. I don’t care,” he continued. “And it’s part of me that I don’t care. And I’ve thought about that a lot. And I don’t know what to tell you, man. I just don’t care.”

Who?
I thought Chevy Chase was in Maryland..
Ha
Norm MacDonald did it much better.
I think MacDonald was fearless. He didn’t care. If he thought something was funny, he said it. You didn’t laugh? You were offended? Norm didn’t care. Norm was Norm and it freed him. HOWEVER I think Norm was a really good person, who liked people, who cared about people, and people liked Norm. Norm was a wonderful person.
Chevy Chase? He doesn’t care, and it shows, and no one likes him.
I love it.
This Just In: Chevy Chase’s Career Is Still Dead!
And I’ve thought about that a lot.
At age 78, I guess that he has earned it.
But if he didn't care, he wouldn't have thought about it so much.
I thought he was dead.
We don’t care either, Chevy. Take a vacation ...
"Chase also had notable feuds with his “Saturday Night Live” castmates, including star Bill Murray. In 1978, the two got into a physical altercation on the set of the NBC sketch series, which he told CBS News he left after Season 2 because he “hated it.” Cast members Jane Curtin, Laraine Newman and Gilda Radner reportedly witnessed the incident."
I never thought Chase was that funny. How many times can you fall down for a laugh? His movies sometimes were funny but in those cases I think it was decent writing.
He was one of those comedians who was funny if he had good writers.
Chevy was still the weakest link in the original SNL. Glad he left.
It always came through and we all knew he was a conceited jerk.
Bill Murray, he comes off as a sweetheart and I’m sure he is and he is loved by the people.
Too bad he had to go through that crap.
He did it to mock Gerald Ford.
They should bring him back to SNL to portray Biden. He doesn’t look like Biden but, with his personality, I’ll bet he could pull it off.
Hey Chevy, I’m with you. I don’t give a damn about those you work with either. Not at all.
And by the way, I don’t like movies either but yours are the best!
Well he didn’t look anything like President Ford when he mocked him.
That’s a good sign he’s a jerk.
Chevy was a professional and wanted people focused on doing a quality job. He constantly worked with liberal jerkoffs who screwed around.
