Kremlin foreign policy aide Yuri Ushakov has revealed details of the conversation between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Joe Biden shortly after the phone talks concluded on Saturday evening.

Speaking to reporters during a media briefing, Ushakov revealed that the talks were staged on Washington’s request with the US citing fears of an allegedly imminent ‘invasion’ of Ukraine by Russia. The Putin-Biden talks were originally scheduled to take place on Monday, the official added.

“The conversation came amid an atmosphere of unprecedented hysteria by US officials over Russia’s supposedly imminent ‘invasion’ of Ukraine,” Ushakov stated.

Re the question of additional parties to any potential conflict, the Bulgarian (alias Tyler Durden) who owns Zerohedge - a big Putin supporter - suggests that Biden raised the possibility of direct US involvement:

https://www.zerohedge.com/geopolitical/pentagon-pulls-forces-ukraine-safety-security-biden-phones-putin
[Biden reportedly stressed that the US stands ready to for “other scenarios” - a reference to some level of a military response in defense of Washington’s ally Ukraine.]

While I’m skeptical, it’s always occurred to me that US air support for Ukraine would mirror the Russian air force’s support for allied Communist forces during the war in Korea. If this actually occurs, it would be the fifth time starting with Red October that US troops have directly engaged Russian forces. The rest are as follows:

1) Wilson’s deployment of the Polar Bears in Russia proper after the Revolution

2) the Russian air force in action over Korea
https://www.historynet.com/clash-titans-korea.htm
3) Russian air defense units deployed in North Vietnam against US aircraft
https://www.historynet.com/13703647.htm
4) the destruction of a company-sized Russian element in Syria that was raining ordnance on an American unit stationed there

I can imagine Tom Shilue doing one of his Biden spoofs about this call:

"Hey, Vlad? Yeah, it's me: The Big Guy. You know, I don't like troops massed on borders, ours or anyone else's, including Lithuania . . . uh . . . Uganda . . . uh . . . you know the deal. Masses are for church, not borders. [whispering] But let me tell you, wise guy [raising voice to a shout] masks work! And that's a FACT!"

Unprecedented hysteria?

I imagine that happens so very often in the Biden White House. Whenever Joe Biden fills his diaper and a clean one cannot be found.

Nonsense about the frozen field theory and too warm for armor theory.

Battle of Kursk, Jul 5, 1943 – Aug 23, 1943.
Nazi invasion of USSR, June 22, 1941.
1942-05-12 – 1942-05-30 Second Battle of Kharkov.
1943-02-16 – 1943-03-15 Third Battle of Kharkov.

They can and do fight over there with armor -year around-. In fact when the Kiev coup government launched it’s initial attacks to conquer the Donbass in 2014, they started their attacks in early April.

The frozen field theory is more lunacy from our intel. The entire thing is a fiction so far. Kiev has threatened to try to “retake” Donbass and Crimea. Russia put forces around there in case they try.
Biden putsch government needs a distraction from his fecklessness, the inflation, and the election steal. He needs an issue to hopefully stave off the disaster coming in November. So *presto* Russia again... it’s DC BS.

As a side note, I found this russian tv series interesting. The story of Admiral Kolchak, the last leader of the White armies in the civil war after WW1 and last head of White Russia before the reds took complete control. Lot’s of reasons why they lost. Corruption not the least of them.

” the Russians are kitted out for either a long campaign in Ukraine or a sightseeing trip to Berlin.”

LOL, total BS. The Russian Army is 15% the size it was in 1988, and Germany is a trading partner. And now they are going to Berlin? SMH...

That’s part of why you see the Euros crapping themselves is because there’s not much to stop the Russians from going to Berlin or anywhere else in Europe if they wanted to do so right now.

Let's see. The Poles would put up a fight. Ukrainians would fight a guerilla war. After that, it's a breeze to Berlin, Paris, Amsterdam and Brussels.

But this is where the French nuclear arsneal comes into picture. So the red line might be Berlin. The Russian tanks might stop in Berlin then they'll halt.

They do this buildup every year...in fact I think a couple times a year. It is nothing new.

Ukraine wants one thing....money...and we're their biggest bank. And they get every dime with no strings attached.

[Lot’s of reasons why they lost. Corruption not the least of them.]

I think they were just disunited, whereas the Communists more or less stood together. The problem is that without the Romanovs, the White Russians lacked unity of command. The extermination of the Romanov clan was necessary to deprive the Whites a symbol around which they could coalesce. The beauty of Marxism-Leninism is that they reworded the divine right of kings with a bunch of mumbo jumbo about the will of the proletariat filtered through self-selected leaders. In reality, “Communist” party rulers were just kings in drag, with the benefit of a holy script that enshrined them as Moses-like law-givers. The unsuccessful “Communist” movements were the ones that had lots of different factions that never quite gelled. Even with unity of command, most communist movements had serious problems overcoming established governments even when the latter were divided.

Chiang Kai-shek hadn’t fully conquered China when he came to the brink of wiping out the Communists. Then Japan invaded. In Shanghai alone, he lost more men fighting Japan than the Communists lost during the entire Sino-Japanese War. The losses he took during the war (10x the Communist number) were probably decisive in his later defeat during the Chinese Civil War. I’d argue that the Romanovs were similarly drained by WWI, without which Russia might still be a monarchy today, albeit probably a constitutional monarchy like the UK’s.

“The Poles would put up a fight”

China has promised Poland that it will be the European routing node for the Belt and Road initiative. Hostility to Russia is not in Poland’s national interest.

Russia has no vital national interests in Poland, OTHER THAN getting NATO either dissolved or pushed beyond the Rhine.

And, I would imagine, they’re working on that with Germany right now.
