A newly hired high school football coach was supposed to appear for a signing ceremony Wednesday after just landing his dream job. A day later, he was dead.
The tragic story comes from the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, which reports that Coach Ron Frederick, just hired to lead Southmoreland High School’s varsity football team, died suddenly on Thursday of unknown causes.
Details from the Post-Gazette:
Frederick, 40, was a 1999 Southmoreland graduate and former offensive lineman. He had just interviewed for his alma mater’s vacant head coach position on Tuesday in Westmoreland County.
On Wednesday, Frederick was informed by school officials that his hiring as head coach would be made official at the next school board meeting, the Post-Gazette writes.
Also Wednesday, Frederick was expected at a small “signing ceremony” for Southmoreland senior Kory Ansell, who signed to play at California University of Pa. But Frederick didn’t show up because Frederick wasn’t feeling well, the newspaper reports. (Further details below)
Word of Frederick’s sudden death Thursday has shocked the western Pa. football community.
“When something like this happens, it just shakes you to your core,” said Dave Keefer, Southmoreland’s previous head coach and Frederick’s friend and colleague. “I’m pretty broken up.”
Added Southmoreland athletic director Dan Boring to the Post-Gazette:
“Talking to our principal, Mr. (Dan) Krofcheck, he said it best about Ron. This was his dream to be the head coach at Southmoreland. The way he portrayed himself in the interview, the way he went about things, he was just so excited and was always excited to be part of this program and district.”
Frederick leaves behind his wife, Liz, and three children, Sophia, Colin and Dylan.
Sudden death rare not connected to the vax he just took for the job get your babies jabbed 🤪
Uh-huh.
...and a chicken bone stuck in your throat doesn't give you a lot of time to start feeling poorly, so it looks like A is out too.

Because anything else is just jackassin'.
People's deaths as discussed on these type of threads are nothing by props. Just a means to an end to speculate and guess.
Then on to the next person.
Pathetic, but not surprising given a small number of FReepers who resort to this tactic.
Suddenly is the leading cause of death these days.
“40 years old.
Dies suddenly.
Oh yeah, happens all the time.”

Kinda does. Kinda always has happened in a nation of 330 million.
Of couse, it seems somewhat intuitive it was likely a cardiac related event, but show me the autopsy. I’d bet spike protiens affectng the organs and spiky, mini-clot red blood cells.
Nothing to do with the clot shots I’m sure, just another garden variety, “rare and suddenly”.
10 bucks says he got vaccinated or boostered within 14 days of the day he suffered the “cardiac event.”
Nobody here doubts he had a cardiac event. What triggered it? That’s the $64,000 question.
It does now.
Lol….you were IBTEM.
*Excuse Makers
My brother dropped dead around 35 years ago, while walking on the street at age 39. Boom! he was gone. These things do happen. He left three kids, the youngest age 2 months.
🥲
He was a former offensive lineman, so excess weight might have played a role in his death. However, the article contains no photo.
I wonder when he was vaccinated.
I read where an increased heart rate gets the razor sharp vaccine spikes to build up and cause damage. That’s why young athletes are dieing. So this guy gets all excited and boom
It’s pretty much impossible to reason with the obsessed.
