Is it time for Politico founding editor John F. Harris to don a jester's costume? A week ago we saw the spectacle of Harris recommending that Joe Biden reverse his sinking political fortunes by trash talking. And on Thursday, he took yet more silly sauce to urge Chief Justice John Roberts, despite being sixteen years younger than the retiring Stephen Breyer, follow suit by no later than this summer.

Suggesting it publicly is how they got Roberts to flip on Obamacare.

Liberals are obsessed with the Supreme Court because they are obsessed with abortion which they love and adore and worship because radical man-hating feminazis give big bucks to democrat campaigns so they can keep their beloved abortion.

They are obsessed with Courts because it’s the main way they get their evil agendas implemented.

5 justices can control one third of the country. No wonder they can have a cow over Bork and the others. The next one Trump nominates has already been vetted at the district level. No hearings. Go straight to a vote.

Yep, and it’s ramping up now because Biden is already a lame duck after just his first year, and the mid-terms are looking to be a disaster for them. So if they can’t legislate their way to total communism, and executive fiat can be fought in courts, they see the supreme court as the only Trump card. No pun intended

Judges are like umpires,” John Roberts famously said ... “Umpires don’t make the rules, they apply them ... They make sure everybody plays by the rules...

That is why, when folks complained about the 2020 election that the states were not following their own rules, you decided there was no standing?? Were you lying at your confirmation hearing or are you lying now?

Since Roberts is clearly compromised, the Left would have some convenient threats to influence his decision. If that doesn’t work, there’s always a trip to the ranch.

This is misdirection. The Libs are hoping we think Roberts isn’t one of them.

Why would Politico want to get rid of a liberal Supreme Court clown?

We used to joke about lawyers. Not a joke any more, is it? It’s sounding like a cure.

I’m not sure it would change anything much if they replaced Roberts with an ultra lib communist. He’s voted with them any time it’s something important anyway.

Democrats are obsessed with SCOTUS because that is how they bypass the voters and elections.

The cheat-by-mail-in ballots worked fine and dandy in 2020 (all thanks to RINO-controlled state legislatures), but they can't depend on that for future elections, so they need a leftist court to overturn any legislation that any future republican-controlled House and Senate enacts.

Even fair elections will be meaningless if SCOTUS ever gets a leftist majority.

Nah. Being a liberal is what motivated Roberts to vote the way he did; he did not “flip” as if he were going to vote against Zerocare at first.

Roberts gives Team China bipartisan cover. Plus, he’s there to support the corportist agenda. No way he retires and hands those SCOTUS keys over to a card carrying Marxist.

“Being a liberal is what motivated Roberts to vote the way he did; he did not “flip” as if he were going to vote against Zerocare at first.”

I agree with you. A lot of people assume that the only reason Roberts and others vote for leftist policies is because they’re compromised. I’ve always believed that the reason most of them vote for leftist policies is because they are, in fact, leftist ideologues.
