A new super-mutant HIV strain that makes infected individuals ill twice as fast as current versions of the virus has been detected in the Netherlands.
The new mutant — called the VB variant — has infected at least 109 people, according to a study by Oxford University.
The strain damages the immune system and weakens a person's ability to fight everyday infections and disease faster than previous versions of the virus.
It means those who catch this strain could develop AIDS more quickly.
The VB variant also has a viral load between 3.5 and 5.5 times higher than the current strain, meaning infected people are more likely to transmit the virus to others.
However, after starting treatment, those with the variant have a similar immune system recovery and survival rate to those infected with other HIV strains.
But the researchers warned the rapid health decline after catching VB means early detection and treatment is 'critical'.
Britons are advised to get tested for HIV and other STIs at least one a year, while men who have sex with men are advised to get tested every three months.
More than 100,000 Britons and 1million Americans are thought to be living with HIV.
Independent experts have said the finding is nothing to panic about. The analysis found VB arose in the 1980s and has been declining since 2010.
An analysis of genetic patterns suggests VB first arose during the late 1980s and 1990s in the Netherlands.

Let’s see if they shut down flights to San Francisco and to Provincetown to flatten the curve. Will they close the bathhouses? Will they eliminate gay hookup apps? Will they create a “HIV Pass”? Will gay bars be closed?
HO HO! You know none of that is going to happen! HIV is a privileged disease! There is no way the dems are going to implement any restrictions on that victim category!
How is it new if it’s been floating around for thirty plus years? The headline is annihilated by the last bit of the article which shows it’s controlled just like other HIV A strains by combo medications and appeared in the late 1980s?
People on FR have been claiming that the Covid vaccines can lead to HIV for some time now. Although a vaccine critic, I thought those particular claims seemed farfetched. Now I’m not so sure. Awaiting further developments.

I believe the claims were that the vaxxes lead to AIDS, not HIV. Meaning the vaxxes lead to a vaccine-acquired immune deficiency syndrome, versus a viral-acquired immune deficiency syndrome.
May seem like a small thing to pick on, but I didn’t see anyone saying they thought the vaxxes contained human immunodeficiency virus. I don’t think the mechanism for the disabled immune system is fully understood yet... you know... since the vaxxes weren’t studied before they were released.

Dr Malone was recently interviewed on Fox and mentioned HIV somehow connected with t he mRNA vaccine development. Does anyone have that in context?

HIV is a virus. Nothing can “lead to a virus” other than getting infected with it. The article is indeed about people getting infected with the virus itself after risky sexual behavior, not the condition of AIDS than HIV can cause.
There's plenty of that here including by the OP. The article is about HIV (not AIDS) and people getting infected through sexual activity - the OP blames that on the vaccine. Typical nonsense.
The vax makes you gay, so it makes sense it would give you HIV as well.
