I read many of the novels but quit when the author started injecting too much of his politics into them. And the movies? Sorry, but Tom Cruise is not Jack Reacher no way no how.

I've only seen the first episode of the new Reacher series, but I thought it was great. My wife did, too. I can't watch any more episodes until she can as well. LOL Before seeing the first episode, I thought they might have cast too much of a Hollywood pretty boy in the role, but no, Alan Ritchson an excellent Jack Reacher. I hadn't seen him in anything before this. I hope this series lasts as long or longer than Bosch did. And I hope they don't screw it up.

For those freepers in foreign lands that like cricket amazon has a series called Inside Edge.

I cant get used to india shows talking in English and Hindi even in the same sentence. The second season was dubbed in English but it appears they havent done it yet for season 3.

If i understood cricket better the show would make better sense but it is interesting to watch other cultures

Having read the books, cruise was a big stretch to play Reacher. Really big.

He was in “Titans” the live action Teen Titans show on Hulu/HBO Max and played the superhero “Hawk” (half of Hawk & Dove).

Watched the first episode. It had its amusing moments but not top-tier TV. One thing that did strike me is how much the Alan Ritchson, the actor portraying Reacher, looks like a young Lou Banach, the American wrestler who won the 1984 Olympic light-heavyweight (220#) freestyle gold.

Lou on the right, fraternal twin brother Ed on the left. Ed also won gold in the 1984 Olympics in the 198-lb freestyle class. Five NCAA wrestling national titles and two gold medals between them.

And both of them hated Jimmy Carter with three purple passions because he kept them out of the 1980 Moscow Olympics.
