Free-agent NFL head coaching candidate Brian Flores is suing the league and three teams, the Miami Dolphins, the New York Giants and Denver Broncos, over hiring practices.
According to the complaint, Flores is alleging race discrimination when it comes to coaching personnel decisions in the NFL. Among many complaints, the lawsuit chides the NFL’s “Rooney Rule,” which requires NFL teams to conduct at least one in-person interview with a minority candidate for all head coaching vacancies.
“However, well intentioned or not, what is clear is that the Rooney Rule is not working,” the complaint reads.
Currently there is only one black coach in the NFL, Pittsburgh Steelers coach Mike Tomlin. There are 32 teams in the league.

Great hire, Mr Ross
So is Brian saying he was never HIRED?-)
We need change!
I think what he is saying is that he wants to scare off any would-be employers. He’s going full Colin Kapernick.
BTW, he was fired not because he couldn’t improve a team, but because he couldn’t keep any assistant coaches or work well with a highly drafted QB.
There are 2 black head coaches in the NFL.

Meh, let them eat each other.
Flores was “only” making $3m as HC, so his potential for a substantial cash flow increase via lawsuit settlement is pretty high.
Leave it to CNN to screw it up LOL

Who is the second one besides Pitt?
How many roads must a man walk down before you call him a man?
““However, well intentioned or not, what is clear is that the Rooney Rule is not working,” the complaint reads.”
NO. It works. I thought the rule was to “interview”. I dont see anywhere on that rule to actually HIRE BLM coaches on the spot.
We do it in our company to avoid lawsuits. We pay our hispanic janitor to do the interviews on possible leftards because white woke lefty wimps here dont like anyone non-white.
Byron Leftwich would likely make a good head coach. He is a fine offensive coordinator with Tampa.
I mean if you have a great head coach, would you not hire him, just because he’s black? Really? That’s just stupid.
Maybe these guys aren’t as good as they think they are. It takes a lot more to be a good head coach than just being a good coordinator. You are more the CEO, than the X’s and O’s guy. Your job as a head coach is to manage the X’s and O’s guys.
Great quote, right on. This is a Black playing the race card #203,948,375,673,867
Ah yes. Add another “victim” to the list.
Sad. Flores showed some real talent and resilience as a Head Coach. Apparently he does have some rough spots that riled many people and ultimately caused him to lose his job at Miami. This lawsuit is just foolish. Agree that the Rooney rule is demeaning and patronizing but since implemented more than a few blacks have been hired as head coaches. If Flores were smart he would withdraw this suit, sit out for a while, reflect, bid his time and would soon coach again. He ought not have a silly tantrum and become another miserable Kaepernick.
Sounds to me like he never wants to hold a job in the NFL again.
My prediction:
1. The NFL (not the individual teams he is suing) settles out of court for a nominal sum of money.
2. This jackass takes a lifetime job as head coach at some historically black college that plays in some NCAA Division XVI conference for losers.
That's only 6.25% of the head coaches!
The charge of sham interviews-With the Rooney rule what do you expect?
I hope he wins. Remember “Tank for Tua?” Now this owner gets to be the fall guy for the open secret. Anybody remember the Reggie Bush Bowl?
The answer is a lottery for the top 5 Draft picks. Therefore nobody tanks. Too late for this owner.
