Dang, I'm usually on top of the news but I missed seeing this one. If this has been posted please remove.
According to an article written by former U.S. Representative Bob Barr, hidden away in the recently passed infrastructure bill, the very one I warned before would negatively impact drivers across the country if it were to pass, is a measure to install vehicle kill switches into every new car, truck, and SUV sold in this country. The regulation likely won’t be enforced for five years, so maybe there’s time to do something about this.
As we’ve seen both in this country and others recently, what constitutes “law-abiding” can change drastically overnight. For example, in September a car was pulled over in New Zealand and the occupants arrested when police discovered the trunk was full of Kentucky Fried Chicken meals. They were smuggling the fast food to customers in locked-down Auckland, against quarantine measures. Yet not too long before, delivering restaurant orders to people was considered a reputable, legal activity.

Infrastructure is code for money laundering and landing in democrat coffers. Following the same pattern as obama and his gang of merry grifters.
Like a .22 round installed in the steering column pointed at the operator?
They can remotely shut off your car.
From a police vehicle.
No, a really really bad idea that will be abused, and from which public serpents will be exempt while their bosses live under it.
“And criminals will know how to disable it!!!!!”
...or use it for their own needs.
And use it against their victims.
> What the freak is a “kill switch”?
Government agents have ability to slow or shut off a vehicle at their discretion.
The argument for it is ability to end high-speed chases quickly.
The argument against it is subjugation.
The infrastructure bill passed with the help of these nineteen Assistant Democrats.
Dan Sullivan (R-AK) Shelley Moore Capito (R-WV) Mike Crapo (R-ID) Roy Blunt (R-MO) Richard Burr (R-NC) Deb Fischer (R-NE) Lindsey Graham (R-SC) Rob Portman (R-OH) Thom Tillis (R-NC) Lisa Murkowski (R-AK) Jim Risch (R-ID) Chuck Grassley (R-IA) Bill Cassidy (R-LA) Kevin Cramer (R-ND) Roger Wicker (R-MS) Mitch McConnell (R-KY) John Hoeven (R-ND) Susan Collins (R-ME) Mitt Romney (R-UT)
Plus 13 Assistant Democrats in the House.
A lot of new cars need a lot of parts too. Quality has been going downhill with many manufacturers. The desire to get rich by selling crap is far too tempting to business people.
The feds have NO constitutional authority to do it.
The states may but it’s up to the people of each state to shut down this monstrous idea.

Back when I was a poor college student I drove a beat-up used car that I couldn’t afford to replace. So I put a kill switch in it myself - I cut the wires to the ignition and wired in a high-quality switch. The switch was hidden under the passenger side of the dash.
Whenever I had to park in a sketchy area I turned that switch off. And it saved me once. Someone broke into my car and tried to hot-wire it. It was a no-go for him. And I still had my car, now a bit more beat up than before.
“Imagine a total war where the ChiComs hack every Vehicle in United States before a massive attack.”
I’ve been saying this about solar inverters to are connected to the CLOUD. The cloud is nothing more than a global control path that in WARTIME will be the enemies path to submission.
A solar inverter can be ‘updated’ to have hidden ‘brickware’.
My term for a ‘feature’ where BRICKWARE is activated after a predetermined silence from the INTERNET and the cloud.
So EMP take the net down and the timer starts to brick not just solar but technology and cars too now.
“Anyone with a working knowledge of cars could disable them.”
What if it is software based?
My truck is fully paid for and my wife’s car has 4 payments left and it will be “free and clear”. We do not want another car payment on our budget, so we won’t be buying any new car in the future.
I am looking for a “project” car/truck from the late 60s, though.
:-)
“A lot of new cars need a lot of parts too. Quality has been going downhill with many manufacturers.”
I had to repair a 15 year old clothes dryer. Used parts for a 3 year old one to do so. The three year old one had multiple issues when I bought it broken. Better to keep the 15 year old one running, than the 3.
Just a “small” part of the plan to have total control over the American people...a few years from now we may be wondering if we would have more freedom if we migrated to China, Cuba, North Korea....
So we need to learn how to disable them. They will be very dangerous. Cars on highways will just slam to a stop. If there is a kill switch, there will be a listening device. That is likely to be in the navigation area. They will say its for updates. At some point you will see people complain that they were just driving along and suddenly their car turned off.
I had a Jag XJ. It rebooted every time I passed a certain spot on a highway. I lost the dashboard and all the electronics in the control panel as well as the radio. But it did not stop the car. I could still drive.
When you get a new car don’t let them connect it to your phone. Your car will have a 5G receiver. It will listen even when its turned off. The police will always know where it is. They will know who is in it. They will be able to hear you. And they will know which phones have been in the car. This is already true of many high end cars. Your auto-start or theft location device are the features they will use to get you to attach your phone. The bluetooth phone calls is what they use to get you to turn on the listening device.
They don’t do it now, but in the future they will store all your conversations in the car. As memory gets cheaper, they will start recording a storing conversations from your phone, car computer, TV. They have the ability. They don’t have the cheap storage to do it yet. But they are working on it.
Neil Peart was a prophet it turned out.
Well they will be able to. They can’t now.
