My oldest son was born with a sub-aortic stenosis. The imaging tech performing an echo cardiogram with audio enabled during the exam could hear the blood squirting against the mitral valve with each ventricular contraction. It sounded like a cheap dime store squirt gun. Fixing it took a 10 hour surgery at the Kaiser Permanente hospital in Los Angeles. That was the first of 4 open heart surgeries. The surgeons delayed as long as they thought it would be safe before the cutting began. He was pleasantly surprised to have warm arms and legs after the surgery.

I have yearly echo to keep track of mine. Mild narrowing, no change since getting vaccine. My cardiologist and GP is keeping track of my blood work up and wart test (kegs and echo)
