If you want to live healthier, step away from these 10 foods and general food categories.
We hate to be the bearers of bad news but yes, that means put down the bacon.
Let’s get this fan-favorite out of the way first. Bacon is not good for your health.
“Many don’t know that the World Health Organization has classified bacon in the same category as tobacco when it comes to carcinogenesis,” says Reyzan Shali, MD, referring to the process by which normal cells are transformed into cancer cells. “We have done a good job asking people to give up tobacco, but how come we have not done a good job asking people to not eat bacon?”
2. Turkey bacon Turkey bacon isn’t a healthy choice either.
“If I can convince my patients to give up bacon, the next question I get is usually whether they can have alternatives to bacon, like turkey bacon. I explain that it’s the processing that makes the meat harmful. So replacing bacon with turkey bacon to make it healthier is misguided,” says Shali.

Q: Will avoiding these foods make me live longer?
A: No, it will just feel like it.
You’re gonna eat your ration of cricket paste and you will be happy. Or else.
Looks more and more like the movie “Demolition Man” truly was a glimpse into the future:
“In this future, smoking is not good for you, and anything that is not good for you has been deemed illegal: alcohol, caffeine, contact sports, meat, bad language, chocolate, gasoline, un-educational toys, and anything spicy.”
That ended quick. They shouldn’t have started with bacon.
I’m good. I only eat nine out of the ten “bad foods.”
And I usually don’t smoke while I’m eating them.
For now. Kale's turn will come soon and you will be left eating wheat chaff or something like that. New world order, you know.
I've read someplace that it isn't good for you because insecticides get stuck in the nooks and crannies. Very difficult to wash out.
I love bacon. I posted a pic of my bacon pizza earlier.
Well, I’m dead.
Someone gave us a couple pf bags of kale a couple of weeks ago. I tried cooking it up and it made the house smell soooooo terrible I was dry heaving and ended up tossing it in the trash. I couldn’t get the smell out of the house for days. My husband was laughing at me because I was so grossed out and sick. He hated it growing up. Never again.. lol
We have some nice neighbors from the Middle East next door. But the smells from their kitchen!
I asked my wife “So I’m guessing when the husband gets home from work he thinks ‘Hmmm - she’s cooking my favorite!’” (He probably does.)
Thanks for recommendation.
My grandmother is 96 and all the bad food on the list, she ate with a great appetite. She had 8 kids, smoked and drank. The food left over she fed to the dog.
Stopped at “World Health Org…”Worthless bunch of sacks of sh%%..
They should make it so you can’t pay for them with EBT cards. That would be fun.
Soylent Green. Live it, learn it, love it.
“Let me guess, the list includes pretty much anything that you enjoy.”
Excellent guess, but then the headline pretty much predicted that.
If I have to eat bugs to live, I don’t want to live!
This Captain Obvious writer is also Lazy. Many of these are overlapping categories of food and ingredients.
So in short just give up everything that’s good. Oh but you can still have Kale chips. Rejoice!
