@NORML
#Florida @GovRonDeSantis was asked about his position on legalizing #marijuana and he responded with this.
This is what we are up against...

>> so is beer. Should that be criminalized too? <<
Is it? I have yet to meet a single example of someone who routinely drinks beer (Coors, Budweiser, etc.) every week decide to randomly "upgrade" to cocaine because they're not satisfied with the buzz they get from drinking beer anymore.
Yet I can cite NUMEROUS examples I've seen of people who become potheads at first, only to "upgrade" to cocaine users later on.
Interesting coincidence, isn't it?
You get it. What other drug turns people into missionaries?
I’m not sure what “pure cannabis” is. I only understand, “marijuana” — or what it was called when I lived in Alaska, “Matanuska Thunderf**k”.
I used to kind of like the smell of the devils lettuce until it started to be everywhere at all times
Sorry but as a criminal defense attorney for 30 years I have seen that alcohol leads to more crime and serious drug use than any other drug and it’s not even close. What are your bona fides?
Legal Pot brings, liberals, all drugs, public pooping, crowded hospitals, overworked police etc.
I use a tincture called Rick Simpson Oil or RSO. It’s an oil extracted from cannabis that is “tuned” to provide pain relief with less of a high than many tinctures. I swallow a few drops before bed to ease a variety of aches, pains etc.
My neighbor is an MD and told me he recommends it to patients instead of opiates. It’s cheap, legal(in my state)non-habit forming and far fewer side effects. I awake rested, clear headed and never use it during the day.
Works for me
A lobbyist told me that some red states resist MJ reform because of pressure from private prison operators.
The California roads and highways have been devastated by damage from the epidemic of drivers impaired by marijuana.
I would have probably started with that, and then said, plus it just smells terrible.
Tell that to the vets I know - silly never Trump herp derp douchehole.
People like you are partly why we actually have socialism right now.
The stuff today is insanely powerful, literally. A lot more THC than is found in the natural plant. A friend smoked too much, went bonkers and lost his family, his career and his home.
So people are jumping from a Truly straight to Heroin and fentanyl?
Got it.
How am I responsible for socialism. I’ve never voted for a socialist in my life, I’m not hypnotized by the media like you.
That odor was probably the people using it
“ There are a lot of devastating psychological effects associated with weed that tobacco cigarettes don’t have.”
COPD is pretty real.
I thought Maryjoowana had been legalized in a referendum in Florida, but I read that while I was still living in the freak state (Maryland), so please correct me if I’m wrong.
No! It's not.
Growing up in Boulder in the sixties the people I know did not vote for "Call any vegetable And the chances are good Ooooh! The vegetable Will respond to you" Bid!n.
That’s the problem with full drug legalization: if everybody gets stoned, the government can basically do what it pleases while they’re all a stoned or addicted mess.
I’d rather just decriminalize the softer ones like Maryjoowana.
That is not his only reason.
Pit was legalized in Colorado. Guess what, now they have MORE CRIME. Because a majority of those who smoke are pretty much useless at holding a decent job and making enough to live on when they sleep all day and their health is shot. Pot makes you not g.a.s.
