Children should be concieved by a married man and woman in union together with the invitation of the Lord’s presence. This is what sex is meant for, the creation of children and the strengthening of marriage.
If a man and woman cannot conceive in this manner, then it is best for them to continue loving each other and continue to strengthen their bond in union. The Lord works miracles.
Additionally, we don’t know the reason why the Lord does not grant children to some couples. Joachim and Anna (Mary’s parents) were barren until their 70s, when they conceived Mary. Zachariah and Elizabeth were also past the “child bearing” age when they conceived John the Baptist.
There are many examples throughout history of barren couples adopting children, and what salvation it is for those children. The Lord’s surrogacy.
