Keanu Reeves stands up for Tibet.
China is furious at Matrix star Keanu Reeves for his participation in an upcoming benefit concert for Tibet. Calls for a boycott of The Matrix have grown louder on Chinese social media after the 57 year-old was revealed to be in the line-up of the Tibet House Benefit Concert on March 3. The annual concert is held around the time of the Tibetan New Year and the Monlam Prayer Festival, which are forbidden topics for the Chinese government.

Keanu Reeves seems like an independent thinker. He seems to go his own way and do his own thing. He appears to live his life on his own terms without the need to be malicious and provoke unnecessary conflict. Yet, he seems willing to assess and then speak up, either for or against that which needs a voice calling out that which needs calling out. He seems somewhat normal. How did he ever make it in show business? <shrug lol
I think you nailed it about him. The NY Post last week had an article about him, very complimentary. He’s a low key guy who has given away tons of money to cancer charities after his sister was diagnosed years ago. Everyone loves working with him. He’s had his share of personal tragedies which has made him appreciate everything he has and has kept him balanced.
I hope Alex Baldwin wasn’t in charge of any of those guns.

People already know his Porsche at the lot meaning he’s inside eating. We bump into each since 2012 even in one of the major studios we are affiliated with. and he’s definitely an independent thinker. A lot of celebs are like that contrary to what you read online.
We get along because we’re both (ex) Canadians from the east coast (toronto vs. Saskatoon), even though I spent more of my life in BC.

Wow, pretty cool and lucky you. Keannu seems like a great guy to meet. A shame the Matrix reboot was so bad, but I love everything else he’s in, and have only ever heard good things about him from those who have met him.
Matrix sucks big time. They give us the studio copy and like lots of lib crap we receive, we turn them into landfill. BUT I know he’s gonna do John Wick 4 next. Also, he’s afraid of being sued and as an example, when you take your picture WITH him? One of his hands around the person/fan is NOT touching the fan to avoid any “misunderstandings”, especially women fans. I’ve seen it first hand..

I guess I just assume that everyone from Hollywood is a commie liberal. Almost always it turns out to be true.
Hollywood could afford to sideline Gere who was pretty much past his prime. Not so for Keanu Reeves, who is still a blockbuster star.
