Here is the campaign video of Ubax Gardheere, who emigrated to the United States at the age of 15 around 1996, which makes her something like 40 now.
She represents herself as a "proud single mother" of three children, an immigrant, a Muslim, and a person of color.
Here is a transcript of the video, which is pretty much a word salad that might have been written by an algorithm.
Hi! I'm Ubax Gardheere. I'm a single black immigrant mother and homeowner in the unincorporated area of Renton, and I'm running for King County council in district 9. I came to King County 25 years ago as a 15-year-old refugee. My values are shaped by my lived experiences, my policy chops and my organizing background. For decades we have seen our black indigenous people of color communities and working-class communities facing systemic and structural racism. These problems peaked last year with COVID and a renewed reckoning of systemic racial injustices.
Today we need bold vision rooted in communities to re-imagine how King County functions. I bring forth decades-long experience building policies to tackle systemic issues in our region. I have consistently delivered wins on housing, better wages and community economic development. I have managed millions of dollars to build infrastructure for community-based groups. I successfully introduced bills in congress and as your councilmember I will rebuild from our economic housing climate and health crisis by increasing infrastructure access transforming our criminal legal system and preserving our farmland forests and waterwaterways. I will lead in creating equitable economic opportunities and public health resources for all of our region, I will prioritize land use, transportation and housing policies to center communities most impacted by this issue.
To tackle these issues we need strategies designed to be deployed concurrently for transformative change.
King County is diverse. All of us, no matter what we look like, how long we've been here, or what's in our wallets, we all want to live in the best places for our families. We are fighting for our future just like when we won better wages for workers and civil rights in our past, we will do so moving forward together.
To achieve justice we must be transparent in our values and actions. My aim is to build a movement that will hold me accountable to put my constituents.
Therefore please Ubax for county council district 9.
Here is an interesting item from Fox News in Seattle:
Video resurfaces of King County Council candidate threatening bus full of kids
This video from 2010 shows Ubax Gardheere — now a King County Council candidate — threatening a bus full of students, claiming she had a bomb.In the video, taken after Ubax Gardheere boarded a Highline School District bus full of middle school students, she informs tells the driver there is a "national security incident." She then tellse the driver that he cannot leave.
"How do you know what I have? I might have a bomb," she stated when confronting the driver – a threat she later repeated to the students. She also suggested she might have a gun hidden under her clothing.
Children are seen running out of the emergency exit on the bus as Ms. Gardheere screams "Cowards! Cowards! Cowards!"
The video continues to roll as a King County Sheriff's Deputy boards the bus and raises a weapon, instructing Gardheere to exit.
"If you choose not to get off the bus I’m going to drop you right here as we stand, you understand that?" he states, in as inclusive and tolerant a manner possible.
Gardheere, who was 29 years of age at the time of this unfortunate incident, was initially charged with felony threats to bomb. While some court documents for the case are sealed, they suggest Gardheere underwent a psychological evaluation. She later pleaded to the misdemeanor crime of harassment.
In the years since the incident, Gardheere was hired by the City of Seattle as the "equities strategy manager" under former Mayor Ed Murray. She has spoken publicly about her struggles with postpartum depression and suggested her mental health was criminalized in the 2010 ordeal.

BARF alert needed
Is she here legally or illegally?
And she got off with a misdemeanor. She’s a nutcase.
The comments after the campaign video (see comment #2) are kind of funny.
“proud single mother”
Why is that a point of pride? Circumstances can land someone in that unfortunate position, but why is it something to be proud of?
Was she given her first name by Dr. Seuss??
Outsider, although he just got a gig with The Five, watch out for Harold Ford Jr.
King County Sheriff's Deputy to Ubax Gardheere: "If you choose not to get off the bus I’m going to drop you right here as we stand, you understand that?"Wow, we need a LOT MORE policemen like that guy! Well done. That CHOP/CHAZ crapola would have ended immediately if they turned guys like this loose as needed.
I like that he commanded her "in as inclusive and tolerant a manner possible." LOL. That cracked me up.
“I’m a single black immigrant mother”
clearly her racial identity is her most compelling ability for governing ...
“Ubax Gardheere”
Truly the Lord has a sense of humor about the names He permits men to have for a specific season.
Better guard you back around this guy.
Flake too is a name that comes to mind.
CORRECTION: Title should read: ‘Upcoming Democrats To Watch OUT For”
The answer is, ALL OF THEM!
Dhimmicrats are bad news, in each and every shape and form!
When Pigs Fly...
Yes. Definitely part of the Rainbow-Flag Party Cartel.
This:
“For decades we have seen our black indigenous people of color communities and working-class communities facing systemic and structural...”
They use that without commas. That’s their new formulation. Bipoc, no commas.
It is a modern Nazi or Communist party, just as dangerous.
This three initials state everything I have to saw: “NFW!
Any of them.
Based on what we’ve seen in NY, any democrat they replace will be worse by far than the one leaving.
This ma6 or may not be good news.
Depends on how the elections go.
OOPS I hit the wrong button, it should have read: These three letters reflect everything I have to say: “NFW”
I remember that. Can’t believe it was 12 years ago.
