There is an amazon prime documentary about the creation of that album. It’s so good I bought the vinyl a few months ago. The guy was WAY underrated.

1990 while camping in Michigan, a friend of mine and I went into town for supplies. On the way back we decided to stop a small bar for a beer. When we ordered the beers the bar tender asked if we wanted it in a cup or a glass. I asked what’s the difference (thinking price)? He said if poured it in a cup we could go outside and watch the concert(he did not tell us who). So with our cups in hand we went outside and watched the last 1/3 of Meatloaf’s show under a small pavilion with about 200 people all for the price of a beer. Will never forget that. He was an entertainer of the people. Peace be with him.

Todd Rundgren produced Bat Out of Hell. He nice said he was doing a Springsteen parody as he felt Bruce took himself too seriously. Funny that Bat Out of Hell outsold anything Springsteen did I at that point.

Saw Meatloaf on Huckabee recently. He was telling the story about his link to the Kennedy assassination. Said him and his buddies were out joy riding when they were stopped by a Secret Service agent who told them to move over so he could drive to Parkland. Interesting.

On “Fox & Friends” this morning they played some segments of his appearances on their program. It seems that he was genuinely a good person. I was only vaguely aware that there was someone out there who went by the name Meat Loaf and never listened to any of his music.
