Ask any Democrat or other leftist whether the FBI was corrupt under J. Edgar Hoover and he or she will eagerly agree. Hoover, an ardent Republican, not only used the agency to capture genuine criminals, but he also turned it into a spy agency tracking anyone he thought might be a communist. Now, though, it appears that the FBI, with help from the DOJ, is going Hoover one better, and using all the old powers plus modern technology to investigate and arrest people who fail to support the Biden administration. The FBI’s latest target is Texas Representative Henry Cuellar, a Democrat, who spoke out against Biden’s illegal acts erasing America’s southern border.
It's likely that most Americans, and especially most conservative Americans, had no idea who Henry Cuellar was before Biden entered the White House. However, things changed when Biden issued a series of orders that effectively erased the southern border.
Enrique Roberto “Henry” Cuellar is a Democrat representative for Texas’s 28th District, which just happens to encompass a large population area sitting on the southern border. The towns that are entirely or partially within Cuellar’s district are Converse, Laredo, Rio Grande City, and Universal City. Every one of these towns has been directly and dramatically affected by Biden’s illegal open border policy.
For that reason, Cuellar has been very vocal about opposing Biden’s border policies. Because Democrat-run media outlets (the networks, CNN, MSNBC, the print media, etc.) don’t want to hear a negative word about a project that’s allowed almost 2,000,000 unvetted, unvaccinated, unidentified, and often criminal people from all corners of the earth to flood into America in a single year, the only major media outlet willing to listen to Cuellar has been Fox

This is what happens when you actually vote for issues for those you represent in DC IF you go against “The Party”. He has been a representative there for more years then I can remember and always seemed to toe the party line. Obviously he has made the mistake of bucking them.
Next up, I expect Manchen to get a visit from “the authorities”. Surprised that has not happened yet albeit I am sure he has been threatened with something like: nice furnishings you have at your house, pity someone should check where they came from.
The author makes it sound like rooting out communists is a bad thing. Any political ideology antithetical to the Republican form of limited, self government is a threat to our constitution and liberty in general.
But,yes, the FBI is a mess, along with most all other federal agencies. Any statist mindset is a problem, but I repeat myself.

Aiding and abetting some 2 million of so people to invade the United States goes way beyond illegal and into treason against the nation.
But hey, we can start with illegal. If he committed all those crimes, isn’t that rather larger then an ambiguous phone call to some foreign leader?
Pelosi abused her power as did the entire Rat party with that. When - if - the Republicans take the House, they should return the favor...they will have far more solid grounds.

True, Cuellar was not on the open borders bandwagon, or the green energy platform.
The backers of Jessica Cisneros, an immigration attorney who supports open borders, and was endorsed by the justice democrats is a Socialist. AOC, and the Castro brothers campaigned for Cuellar’s rival, Cisneros.

At least Mafia neighborhoods are clean and safe. I grew up in one. No thugs on street corners, no broken glass, no barred windows, not so much as a candy wrapper in the streets. The businesses in the area were flourishing. If they paid money for protection, they were getting their money’s worth. No police presence either. The neighborhood was patrolled by retired grandmas in two story houses with binoculars and a telephone call to the local Mafia don.
Vandals, burglars, taggers, street thugs and muggers were given swift and severe justice.
Typical FBI abuse of power. The FBI needs to be abolished.
In October 1996, as head of the Federal Election Commission, Lois Lerner pulled a similar crime against Dick Durbin's GOP opponent.
