QuantBioRes is working on a treatment not a vaccine, but CEO says tennis star is ‘not anti-vax’ Novak Djokovic is the controlling shareholder in a Danish biotech firm aiming to develop a treatment for Covid-19 that does not involve vaccination, it has emerged.
The world No 1, who was deported from Australia this week after the government cancelled his visa in a dispute over a medical exemption relating to his unvaccinated status, bought an 80% stake in QuantBioRes in 2020.
Ivan Loncarevic, the company’s chief executive, confirmed the investment to Reuters. He subsequently told the Financial Times that he had not spoken to Djokovic, who has won more than $150m in prize money, since November and that the tennis star was “not anti-vax”.

So, good for him.
They sure did the deep dive on him. Funny how we never see that done to the vax pushers. Especially the mRNA biotech pushers.
Good.
Shocking that someone who doesn’t like the vax would invest in developing treatments instead. Wow...
Interesting. No such thing as bad publicity. Got his name and company out there and the trust of many anti-vax folks. Would not touch what he is selling.
just another attempt to demonize Djokovic.
what they haven’t and won’t tell the public:
15 Jan: The Age, Melbourne: Djokovic an easy target in anti-vaxxer witch hunt
by Paul McNamee, tennis player and former Australian Open tournament director
Djokovic is not an “anti-vaxxer”, which has been widely reported. He has openly said his children get various vaccines. Generous to a fault, he has personally donated millions of dollars to hospitals and causes struggling under the burden of COVID-19 in Serbia, Spain and Italy.
He set up and paid for free vaccinations at two ATP and one WTA tournament (on his property) in Belgrade, so players and coaches could be double vaccinated, as many were. Who knew that?
He knows from his own experience with allergies and diet that, in many ways, you are what you digest. Simply put, he wants the final say about what enters his body. As the No.1 in a highly competitive global sport, who can blame him? So, what he is actually is pro-choice...

wow. this guy’s got some brains for a jock.
Ppfftt.... I don’t think he is “selling” anything in terms of a Covid treatment YET. But he might know more about the condition, and SCIENCE than you do, oh smug one.
He’s selling nothing to anyone, and nothing to you specifically. He’s investing his hard-earned money (blood, sweat and tears) into an enterprise that might be profitable, like many others. Or not, if pandemic ends tomorrow. And he’ll sure spend some of those profits for various charities, as he’s done in the past. In the meantime, enjoy Nadal scratching his privates at the Australian Closed!
It’s OK when Bill Gates does it.
As a tennis player, I admire Joko a lot.
However since he violated Australian visa laws,
he deserves to be deported.
Yes...and the Aussies deserve to have a meaningless tennis tournament!
Was there trial?
Australian judge said he did not violate visa laws...overturned by a politician who admitted he was being deported because he might encourage non-vaxxed Australians.
Come on Nick
I thought you were more knowledgeable that that.
You don’t need court trial to deport. They deport hundreds straight at airport if visa is not valid. Watch the Reality show “to catch a smuggler”.
Customs deport people by the hundreds right from airport when passengers arrive with invalid visa.
When the Australian government grants the visa, then pulls it, it is they that are responsible for the muddle. I will grant you that Djokovic’s argument about the immigration questionnaire was ‘weak’ even if it were true — you’re still responsible for those forms.
