Explains how to remove MAID from both Apple and Android devices. I must be one of the cool kids, because I looked and it's already disabled on my iPhone.

I followed the directions and found I had already disabled it. When my work provided me with the phone, one of the first things I did was to go through all of the settings and turn all those sorts of things off. Who knows what they see anyway?

The important part:
On your iOS device, do this:
Open Settings.
Tap Privacy.
Scroll all the way down and tap Apple Advertising.
To disable personalized ads, toggle the switch next to Personalized Ads to the left.
You can also tap on the View Ad Targeting Information to see what information Apple has on you.
Recently, Google added more options for Android users, too. Just follow these steps to opt out:
Tap Settings.
Navigate to Google.
Tap the Ads option and toggle the switch for Opt out of Ads Personalization. When Google implements the change, advertisers will see a string of zeros instead of your Advertising ID.

I would guess those of us that used phones for making and getting calls, and the random text, do not have to be concerned.
This sounds like it is for those who’s life is wrapped around the damn things.
