It appears that the VKs may be dying..
As I sent to the ping list earlier, they just pulled a VK ping to an obvious troll.
It is the 2nd (or 3rd, can’t remember) they’ve done this to, not even including a whole thread with over 400 posts on it, a couple of months ago, that was for making a database of the past zots (I am sure you all remember that thread, which many posted a LOT af help on).. yeah, it was deleted.
The lefties appear to have gotten a good grip on the site now.

Good morning. Stumbled over this exchange, and thought to add to the info. FR seems now very tolerant of excessively long threads, such as the "Five eyes" thread which is now well past two thousand comments.

Apparently deemed the Republican administration in such a manner is of no concern to a moderator(s).
It is a simple problem. If one demeans President Trump, as above, then the "Five eyes" is the more approved view now, given the alternative to President Trump was the potential Harris-Walz administration which was endorsed by the Cheneys, as by the lock-step Democrat machine. All for what can be shown to be a Carter-era, Brzeziński "grand chessboard" view of the world, and, of course Biden's idiotic "I rule the world."
Unfortunately, the mod team killed the site a long time ago. Remember when there was actually a functioning system to tell you what actual breaking news was happening? Disappeared years ago due to ridiculous moderation. Remember when FR would keep you informed about things sometimes days before anyone else knew about it? Gone with the whole idiotic ‘blog pimps must die’ crusade coupled with the death of 2DV who seemed to be holding it all together almost single-handedly.
I don’t argue online anymore. It’s not worth my energy. As a result, I don’t post much these days, but I still read every day. And every day the quality of what’s here has gone down. It is no longer a reliable source to tell you what’s going on. You can read here every day and have zero clue that incredibly important things have happened.
Now, obvious trolling seems to be allowed and none of the old traditions are followed. It just sucks. I miss it. But to be perfectly frank, I don’t see that there’s much left to defend at this point. I don’t say that with glee. I think it’s just become enshittified just like everything else. That’s sad.
