Went through the drive-thru at Taco Bell, and asked for tomatoes on crispy tacos, and there was a hand written sign stating that this Taco Bell and it said, that they had no "Sour Cream and hot sauce"
Well I said I would like to have have two crispy tacos with tomatoes, and the very nice lady stated that they had no tomatoes.
Same with Michaels craft store.
I went to look at Spring wreaths and nada. Not even any spring silk flowers.
Just leftover Christmas stuff and there was no Valentine’s decor either.
I honestly thought they were in the middle of a going out of business sale.
Back when i was in college in 1976, Taco Bell was my favorite fast food joint.
If I had enough cash, I’d order 3 burrit supremes which were about 60 cents each. If I didnt have enough change, I’d get 3 bean burritos which were about 39 cents each.
I’d have to ask for extra hot sauce since I loved to pour on 3 packets per burrito.
Our friend now tells us that the local Taco Bell will charge extra if you request more hot sauce packets. And of course burrit supremes are now probably $3 each.
Times are changin’
I’m sorry Mr perfect poster. Did the aspartame twist your knickers?
I don’t drink them. Broke the habit some time ago. But you’re correct. Many studies out there about the negative effects.
I had lunch at Taco Bell yesterday. They filled the shells so full I could barely finish. I was impressed.
Almost feel sorry for you folks. We have plenty of home canned tomatoes, Salsa and tomato sauce. The ground is getting a little frozen to dig up onions though to cook with.
Trucking is an absolute mess thanks to the mandates and regs.
“crappy cheap taco…”? It has been a few years but I love their tacos!!
Burger King used to have similar tacos and they were great!! Of course, just like everything else in this world… businesses stop selling the items I like.
"S__!..........I know s___'s bad right now, with all that starving bulls___, and the dust storms, and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings. But I got a solution."
Went through the drive thru at Panda Express Saturday evening. I asked for a spoon and was told “we outta spoons”.
I thought damn…your place of business is situated at the end of Walmart’s parking lot. They sell boxes of disposable spoons there. I guess if it doesn’t come on their delivery truck…
Of course Walmart usually only has 2/3 of the items on my grocery list. Kroger seems to have everything I need though.
There was a notice at the nice Italian restaurant that they have to charge more for scallops.
And I was told I could not get shrimp on my salad at Chili’s.
Depends on the store. My folks had no issues with onions.
#emptyshelvesBiden is trending on twatter.
I do not go to fast-food joints, but here in southeast Texas I have had no trouble finding tomatoes or sour cream at any store.
“1st world problems”
Lol, yep. This country is absolutely spoiled rotten with 24-7 availability and abundance. Bet there are only maybe two others on this board besides myself who have actually been hungry because they didn’t have ANYTHING to eat for three or four days in a row.
Most think they are going to die if dinner is 15 minutes late... Or if they have to wait five minutes longer than normal in line. What is the problem with this you may ask?
The opportunists take advantage of this weakness and exploit it to make us willingly enslave ourselves.
My work partner back in the late 90s used to say that the problem with this nation was that “...food is just too damned cheap!”
The point isn’t hunger, it’s that since WWII America has been about abundance. Nowhere, at no time, was ever OUT of anything unless a hurricane came through. But now a socialist government has created widespread shortages and we are entering the third year of them.
In the modern era of the last 100 years, ALL famines and food shortages are political.
“But now a socialist government has created widespread shortages”
And that is exactly my point, because we do expect the abundance and take it for granted it gives them the power they need to successfully use this against us. If more appreciated what they DO have instead of what they DO NOT have it would be much harder for them to use this tactic. We live in a world where we just “can’t live without our Charmin and Grey Poupon”. And we are enslaving ourselves with this frame of mind... Once they realize it is no skin off our noses they will realize the agenda and tactic is NOT working.
