Has anyone else been experiencing a pet food shortage? I see the shelves at pet stores and pet supply stores have empty spaces, especially for kitten food. I used to be able to find Purina ProPlan kitten food with no problem, but lately I can only find a couple of flavors--of course, the ones my kitten is not particularly fond of. I also tried Chewy and Amazon, and their selection of PPP kitten food also consists of only a couple of flavors. Let's go Brandon!
Buddy is having a hard time finding cat food at WalMart and Krogers here in WV.
There are always mice.
Not much canned cat food at Publix for some time now. I’m glad mind prefers kibble. There seems to be plenty of that, for now.
😂😱
I’ve noticed it too. One Krogers had limited choice, IGA was a little better, Family Dollar has NONE. It was a challenge getting food for my cat Rascal until he passed away on December 22nd. B-( I still see it.
Local grocery chain store had some empty spaces this week. El Gato got some higher end canned stuff than usual.
It’s ok, since Dems are STILL blaming Trump for everything!!!
I’m here in the Ohio Valley, we must be close and experiencing(ed - as I said before, I lost Rascal on December 22nd) the same problems. Let’s go Brandon! FJB!
“Kroger tuna fish is cheaper than cat-food.
“
And gives the cat bad breath to boot!
Yes. Went to Giant this week, almost out of canned cat food. Only store brand available.
Of course that was a joke, if a bad one.
But this is getting real.
I had my RAMM 3500 serviced yesterday. I am very specific in how it is to be serviced.
The shop could not get the weight oil I specify so we had to take the cold weather viscosity, but the same brand. So that was not so bad since I use synthetic. But it is a sign of things to come.
But one of the “to do’s” was the transmission. No local dealer had the filter. Nearest was a two hour drive away so I will go back next week for that.
I also found that getting the tire brand in the series desired is not easy. There is a serious tire shortage...so I ordered a set of exactly what I am running now which I will store at home until needed, probably in March.
If Biden carries out his plan to forbid truckers from crossing the Canadian border unless they are jabbed, we will see real hardship.
As a reminder, almost all wood building materials come from Canada. Just imagine what locking that down will do to the building boom. It will go boom alright.
There IS a shortage of cat food! Here the grocery stores, PetSmart, Walmart, etc. are all short of Friskies cat food. I just had to order from Chewy and had to get a brand I never bought before. Hope my critters like it when it arrives.
We use Chewy, too. They have always been very prompt in filling orders. They don’t always have exactly what we want, but when they don’t, they have substitutes.
But we haven’t had a problem finding cat food in the local grocery stores, either.
“...almost all wood building materials come from Canada...”

Not true.
Yes on wood. 2 x 4 x 8 went from a high of $7.37 to $3.35 and are now back to $5.98. Yikes.
Our gourmet pudds will only tolerate Beyond crunchies. I bought some IAMs crunchies and you should see the looks we’re getting.
Those who feed their cat tuna fish as a sole food are dooming their cat to nutritional deficiencies and fatal heart disease. Cat foods must contain a sufficient amount of taurine or cats can develop fatal heart problems. In no way is simply tuna a complete food for cats.
Yes!
Canned food is hard to find and varieties are limited when they do have it. The shelves are usually empty.
One of my sons and my mom have cats. We buy what we find when we find it. We can usually find the paté but the cats my son and mom have turn their noses up at it but I guess they’ll eat it when they get hungry.
We had trouble getting our brand of cat food for a bit.
Using Friskies is your first problem. It is the garbage of cat food. I've read that it utilizes rendered roadkill, euthanized pets, etc. in its formulation. I wouldn't bring it into the house.
