Like anyone newly betrothed, Bailey Kenworthy wanted to shout her news from the rooftops of New York City.
Her mistake was thinking New York City would give a crap.
“I’m engaged, New York!” Texan Bailey Kenworthy, 24, shouted out an apartment window, unable to contain her joy in a TikTok posted last week.
The response? Downright aggressive indifference.
“Shut the f–k up!” a cyclist can be heard yelling below.
“I love it here,” she joked to the camera.
The video — captioned “The nicest city” — has amassed 2.1 million views and more than 316,800 likes.

That was one of the best movie scenes ever. People still think about it.
These scenes from “Network” were much more important, and much more relevant today....

My family and I escaped from NYC (Brooklyn) when I was seven and never went back even to visit.
>>Heh... reminds me of that scene in “Coming to America”<<
Ha! That’s EXACTLY what popped into my head.
Thanks, 1976..Network was genius.

Kiss your parents!

Probably. Surprisingly enough, though, I saw that the new police commissioner (who I thought was picked solely for her sex and her color) came out and really opposed the new DA (Bragg). So you never know, maybe sanity will come from somewhere.
On the other hand, Adams appointed his brother to a police position, and the other person he appointed was a man who has such a public and notorious history of corruption that the only reason he’s not in jail is that he’s a black Democrat.
We’ll have to see what happens, I guess. But fortunately for me, I don’t live there anymore…
