America isn’t just seeing less of Mike Pompeo because the Trump administration is no longer in the White House. We are seeing less of the former Secretary of State because there is literally less of him — 90 pounds, to be exact.
The former Director of the CIA has faced a lot of challenging situations in his long career, but he hesitates to talk about his weight loss because of a nagging fear he will put all the pounds he lost back on. But, in an exclusive interview with The Post, he revealed how he did it and why.
It all started on June 14, 2021, when Pompeo stepped on the scale and saw he was just pounds away from 300 for the first time in his life.

I guess he remembers what happened to Chris Christie and doesn't want to face the same scrutiny.
Frankly COVID is no friend of overweight people it makes good sense health wise these days.
I just know I don’t want to see the pics.

Spoiler alert: He ate a healthier diet and excised. He converted his basement to a gym and quit stuffing his face with cheeseburgers and pancakes.
Impressive. I’m trying to drop about 20 myself and I started before Christmas. I’m halfway there.
Keep up the great work, Sec. Pompeo.
Yep, he’s running for POTUS.
I’ve developed L4-L5 acute lumbar stenosis which is pressing against my sciatic nerves. At 300 pounds, I knew I had to do something. My pain management doctor said the best thing, short of surgery (which I do NOT want) is to drop the weight. That was my motivation.
I’ve been on Nutrisystem and so far am down 60 pounds. I definitely see a difference in lessening my back pain. Got a ways to go, but I plan to keep it up.
Christie did lose a lot of weight, didn’t he? But he put much of it back.
Save your money, Mike.
I’m 78...He’s quite handsome.
I didn’t see anything specific, except will power and eliminating snacks - that can’t be the whole story.
He looks good. I did the same thing but due to stomach cancer which made it a lot harder as I am 15 years his senior I imagine.
Yup, he just ate healthy and exercised. That’s my point. He’s going to run for POTUS and this story is a way to re-introduce him and soften his image.. There is no new information on how to lose weight. This is politics these days!
I would have never recognized him....wow....good for him...
Agreed. He probably went keto or carnivore. Both are very do-able and will shed pounds as if by magic. But as a presidential candidate he needs to stay as plain vanilla as possible.
Pompeo/DeSantis.
We want a pick for 8 years...not 4. Pompeo is 10 years older than DeSantis.
We hear a lot of DeSantis...Pompeo...Not so much because he walks quietly but carries a big stick.
Google around...He's strong and well rounded. He'll make a great President. I'd be proud.
simple stop eating carbs. Go zero on carbs. You will lose weight. You can go zero on calories as well but that is harder if you don’t go zero on carbs first. You can have green vegies, but nothing else.
Christi had surgery...obviously no will power.
