UVA doctor: Johnson & Johnson vaccine has no Myocarditis-associated risk

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (WVIR) - Doctor Patrick Jackson with the University of Virginia has advice for people looking to get vaccinated.

Dr. Jackson says COVID-19 vaccines have a very low Myocarditis or heart inflammation risk, however the risk is highest in young men.

He says says the Johnson & Johnson vaccine does not have any association with this side effect and could be the best choice for some.

“Now that we have more data about these vaccines people can talk to their doctors about which vaccine might be the ideal one for them, or even now that we have some flexibility, which vaccine combinations might be the best for them,” Jackson said.

Even if supposedly “low risk,” it is too high for young men and children in particular. For the young, the risk is higher from the vaccine than from the now nearly completely harmless covid.

It’s also the original “clot shot”. Caveat injector.

How do we know this isn’t misinformation?

Regardless - that flies in the face of other studies that definitively showed that J&J’s adenovirus was causing clotting because of the surface structure.

Which is different from the study that definitely showed that mRNA vaccines caused clotting because the generated proteins were causing antibody clumping which in turn caused clotting.

Yes the clotting was seen more commonly in (young) women rather than men. And the myocarditis from mRNA shots is more commonly seen in (young) men more than women. So J&J may not be best option for women, but may be better option for some men.

(Yes the clotting was more commonly seen in women than men though. So J and J may be better for men at risk of heart inflammation from mRNA but younger women especially should stick to Pfizer etc...)

Headline says “No”, article says “low.”

J&J along with AZ had the greater risks of blood clotting.

Interesting. Before I take it, I’d like to know how many years of testing it’s gone through.

and if you're a middle aged tranny, you're gonna die from confusion instead of a clot shot

Hmmm...decisions, decisions...

I'm unvaccinated and have no antibodies.

I can either catch a common cold and get antibodies...or I can take a jab of something that has had no long-term studies done on it.

Three guesses which I do...the first two don't count...

Now that we have more data about these vaccines

Yeah, now that we've been experimenting on the general population for awhile. This ticks me off. Thousands die in an illegal experiment so that this doc can say stuff like, "Now that we have more data." The price is too high.

I wouldn't say none. In any case, that's not the only issue, is it...

That was my comment!

He just admitted it’s all a gigantic experiment with the planetary population as the test subjects.

Safe and Effective. Uh Huh. Sure. How do you know?

Well, we don’t, but we will after a year or so of watching you drop dead!

Another intetesting link to an abstract...

BTW, if you follow the link to the full paper, you'll find that the paper has been withdrawn. Go figure.

“I can either catch a common cold and get antibodies”

Covid is far from the common cold. I had it and it was rough going. I literally could not walk up our steps-had to crawl I was so fatigued.

20+ days later I am still easily fatigued.

I will go to the gravesite of my classmate who died of covid Christmas Eve and his son who died of covid 2 days later Sunday morning and tell them that it was just a flu.

A contractor who does work for us has covid lung and he will probably be on oxygen rest of his life and can no longer work. He is 55 years old. I will tell him it was just a flu next time I see him.

As long as setter is citing anecdotal evidence, let me contribute some of my own:

Covid is far less unpleasant than the Common Cold. I had it and it was laughably mild. No shortness of breath. No elevated temperature. After four or five days, I was completely back to normal.
