People who get both Johnson & Johnson’s vaccine and booster shot have high protection levels against the Omicron variant, a new study out of South Africa says.
The study released Thursday in pre-print has yet to be peer-reviewed but is promising news for those who received the one-dose vaccine six to nine months ago and who also get a booster from the company.
Protection against hospitalization jumped from 63 percent to 85 percent after a second J&J shot, according to the study conducted in November and December among 69,000 vaccinated health care workers.
“This data is important given the increased reliance on the [Johnson & Johnson] vaccine in Africa,” the authors wrote, who conducted the research in 350 vaccination centers across all nine South African provinces. The study also says data reveals “the ability of Omicron to escape antibody neutralization after a single dose.”
“This adds to our growing body of evidence which shows that the effectiveness of the Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine remains strong and stable over time, including against circulating variants such as Omicron and Delta,” said Mathai Mammen, the global head of Janssen Research & Development, which Johnson & Johnson owns.

Except in those “rare” cases where the vax prevents nothing. Which is “rare”.
They never approved the AZ vax either. Obviously they want everyone to get the RNA concoctions. They’re the best at population reduction.
I got the J&J jab last spring. Presently siting here recovering from getting sick. Fairly mild as far as the flu goes but not exactly what I would call a good vaccine.
So that worked ... not.
She says it feels like a head cold with a lot of sinus pressure.
I haven't seen her in over four days so if I was exposed at all I don't have any symptoms. Then again, I had the CHINA VIRUS early on in 2020 and as of 6 weeks ago I still have the antibodies for it (I get tested every two months as part of a study.)
Off to drop off some flowers, soup, fruit (tangerines & bananas) and sinus congestion meds for her. She's been taking Zinc, Vitamin D, Vitamin C and Quercetin along with me for the past 3+ months also, so hopefully her symptoms stay mild.
Isn’t that what the NY Times editor had just before he suddenly died?
Just ignore all these games being cancelled with fully vaxed players getting sick.
Of for eff sakes, getting Omicron and recovering also provides protection.

A friend of mine got the Pfizer shots (2), then had a stroke. That doesn’t prove there’s a relationship, but he refuses to get another mRNA shot. He’s wondering if the J&J booster is an option?

So ya have lots of the J&J vaccine left and we have to take it till you find another way to extort money from a virus.
How about we use cheap stuff that we know works. Ivermectin and Hydro. NFL is using it as a preventative and so is congress. Also the monoclonal is being denied too.
