As someone who has been opposed to the damn vaccines since day one I'm feeling very despondent at the moment.
Our leaders we look up to are seemingly pro-Vaxx and are doubling down even in the face of mounting evidence that they do not work and are dangerous.
I don't want to come across as some crazy person but the next phase of their plan is to inject newborn babies with these experimental shots and then to mandate them.
When does the madness end?
I can't be the only one who is feeling dismayed about all this.
I'd like to know what we can do?
Continue to educate, post, share (if you can get past social media censorship) and promote the work of people like Dr. McCullough in the HOPE that we can reach the leaders within conservative circles.
We also have to offer them an off-ramp.
I can't for example see President Trump backing down.
He's essentially all-in with his recent comments and positions. Scary stuff.
However I believe he needs to come out forcefully against mandates and the injection of kids and contrast his position against the Biden administration as opposed to being praised by them!
It's not too late for him to do this and sincerely hope he will in the coming weeks.
Apart from that I'm at a loss.
Any ideas on what we can practically do are appreciated...

The process used in most medical schools seems to create a mindset of certainty, even when it isn't necessarily justified. So I am not surprised to hear physicians speak with certainty about outcomes, or risks. In their world if only a small percentage of people suffer a bad outcome then they believe that is a success, and the risk is low.
And in a purely scientific way they are right. The risks of the vaccines, and even COVID are not that great for most people. Just like the risk of being shot to death is statistically very small, or the risk of being injured or killed by a tornado. But those risk calculations aren't so reassuring to the families who have lost a loved one. And the risk calculations made by doctors aren't always correct either.
The same kind of doctor who says "I have too much to live for, I don't want to die" is often the kind of pilot who gets in trouble since they think they can get through the weather in their airplane.
Does the vaccine prevent you from getting the Covid? Does the vaxx prevent you from spreading the Covid? Both answers, an absolute and resounding NO! What criteria do you use to judge whether a vaccine works or not? Does the vaxx have serious and significant, even deadly side effects? Absolutely, YES! Do we have any idea how catastrophic these effects will eventually be on people who were misled by the likes of the greatest salesman Big Pharma has ever known? People who trusted Trump and misguided people like you. If you’re going recycle more Fauci, Inc. PR drivel about lessening the severity of my sniffles, don’t bother. I’m in no mood to read more stooging for that worthless and dangerous nostrum.
Good news. Trump has many times “forcefully against mandates,” since mandates lack authority and waste time and money.
Someone suggested briefly at the end of a longish post to read history and I just wanted to make that point more noticeably because it is very helpful to read about history when the current time seems so crazy.
We have lived in unusually stable and peaceful times. What we experienced in the past is not the norm. As things fall apart, it is unintuitive reassuring to learn that most of the time the situation is worse.
Plus they lived through it all without central heating and other comfortable features of modern life.
1. Go to church;
2. Marry a church person;
3. Buy land outside the city and farm it. Have at least one protein-producing animal;
4. Have kids at home or a non-intervening birthing center;
5. Homeschool your kid;
6. Sign up to work the polls and/or do counting for all future elections.

and if I have not had it, I can’t spread it.

I have not had the vaxx and I have not had the Covid/flu/sniffles. Nor have I transmitted any of those maladies. Have you had your first booster yet? Have you had ALL available boosters? You late boosters dip sh!ts are a joke to everyone else. I have not. Have you had any reaction to any of your vaxx jabs or boosters? I have not (although my wife did on both). In five years will you have any adverse effects from your series vaxxes and boosters? Hmmm?? I will not. Yeah, you’re a real sharp guy.

For a man so beloved I can't understand why Trump has so few trusted people keeping him better informed. It would not hurt him to admit being taken in by Fauci and that pack when he had the overall Office to attend to. A little humility would go a long way for him if he's running again.
