I am and was a new case as of Christmas Day—but the government doesn’t know it. Because I took a home test only. Two and 1/2 days of the CCP virus—and I’m recovered.
YAY! For me it was just like a cold (with a fever) with some extra fatigue; nothing more.
The more home tests—the less the government will know. . .
As of 12-23-2021, despite the high number of omicron infections, the U.K. has recorded only 14 deaths attributed to omicron, while the U.S. and Germany have also respectively reported only 1 death due to the variant.
These are very small numbers juxtaposed to the number of omicron infections.
Well, I meant what state. Looks like they did a huge catch-up.
I don’t think any attribution stories are accurate. Individuals aren’t genetically sequenced. That’s done for population predominance.
The overall death count X predominance gets you the Omicron death count.
Congratulations on receiving you Christmas gift of natural immunity. I’m still working on getting mine. We live in Maryland and today (Monday) Maryland’s percentage of people testing positive climbed to 16.54%, increasing by 0.69% since Sunday.
I think maybe I’ll take some time tomorrow to visit the long lines of people queued up to be tested. I can walk up and down the leeward side of the line. I can snuggle up close to the line taking deep breaths… stopping occasionally to “rest” near anyone I see coughing. Jeez, with one-in-six people in the lines being COVID-19 positive my odds should be good for at least some exposure.

I thought I did a pretty good job of not getting infected over the past 2 years but I have done more indoor “gatherings”—restaurants, church—this past month and I guess that did the trick. I work from home and wash my hands a lot but…got Covid anyway.
Unlike Delta, Omicron is not a descendant of the original Fauci/CCP virus that caused Covid-19; Omicron is a distant cousin. It is a very contagious variant of the common cold that causes a false positive with the PCR tests, rendering them completely useless. The “vaccines have no more ability to prevent Omicron than they do any other Common Cold variant, which is likely none at all.
There is an old saying among Covid aficionados here on Free Republic... It ain't over until gas_dr sings.

I will always answer honestly but please don’t take cheap insults.
No they haven’t always been flat. You just buy the conspiracy theories because you need a narrative to fit. Had you actually been a part of the front line instead of faux expert you would actually know what you are talking about. But keep repeating the talking points so you can feel good about yourself.
