You are correct if he has been following a lawyer's advice. Me? I think his ego is the advice he is following, not his lawyer. After all, Alec can say; "I played the President on TV many times and everybody loved me!" He is like many in the acting profession, vain and self-confident, and this time that is a killing posture!
