I like LinkedIn for networking and professional stuff. I hate seeming anything remotely political on it.
The Alinsky mob likes to use LinkedIn to inform your employer of comments you make anywhere.
That makes sense. But I think we are giving these networks too much power.
If the power goes out will people have forgotten how to communicate the old fashion way?
Yeah, me too!
The dude is a pushy know it all. Impossible not to know he exists. All you have to do is watch a video with him and others. He'll be the overbearing personality in the group. Wikipedia refers to him as a serial entrepreneur. Smart guy but very Type A personality. Maybe Type AAA.
LinkedIn was one of the last platforms I stayed on. Recently, I turned my account private and stopped going there. It started turning into another facebook (farcebook).
I don’t think anyone should be banned. The “150,000 vaccine deaths” is a monstrous lie based on the argument that because there were more excess deaths in 2021 than in 2020, and 2021 was when the vaccines were introduced, the vaccines caused the excess deaths. This ignored the fact that 2021 was when we were able to go to church, go to a restaurant, go to work, go to a gym, go to a huge concert or game. Because we had freedom to assemble, more people got Covid and died. I think this was worth it. 15 million people lost their jobs in 2020, the government spent 4 trillion dollars to pay them not to work. The vaccines allowed us to lead normal lives. Attributing the excess deaths to the vaccines is so stupid its funny. So Steve Kirsch should be allowed to post, and people not so stupid should be able to freely refute every single stupid thing he says. I’m for debate and common sense, not censorship. Bagster, ransomnote, jane long, please keep posting.
Not judging - I respect the guy - but this sounds like a big whine.
I downloaded my FB account and took steps to preserve years of writing content/posts after the FIRST warning.
LinkedIn is the sole repository of my online presence and it remains there for professional reasons ONLY. They had previously restricted an article on forest fire, so I ceased all activity and contributions there. That was 7 years ago.
He conceded that “Christmas came early.” He should just let it go without the whine. Besides the whine, all good points (aside from foolishly not downloading his account).
There’s a big lesson in there for others who choose to poke the bear...
Is LINKDIN really the platform for those kinds of posts? Just saying.
The purpose of the account was to keep up with a couple of friend in China where other forms of Social Media are not allowed.
They knew the name. It was an inside joke. For fun I created a fake resume.
...
In the novel “1984,” Mr. Kirsch would now be an “unperson.”
Under the spreading chesnut tree, I sold you and you sold me...
