In a rather bizarre move, NASA has recruited a British priest to prepare the religious for the discovery of alien life as space agencies claim to be getting closer to discovering evidence that life exists outside of planet earth reports The Times.
Reverend Dr. Andrew Davison, a priest and theology professor at the University of Cambridge, is among 24 theologians who participated in a program sponsored by NASA at the space agency’s Center for Theological Inquiry (CTI) at Princeton University. The theologians attempted to assess how major religions would react to news of alien life being found.
A NASA expert said [to the U.K.] The Times: “We may not discover life for 100 years. Or we may discover it next week.”

I enjoyed it.
Deja vu Contact.......
I think you’re right: “From 2015-21 held the position of Canon Philospher at St Albans Cathedral, the first such position in the Church of England.” (from the University’s website)
‘- All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness’
fine; but the obvious hole in that logic is in the 2000 years since the last of Holy Writ, many precepts for education, remediation of troubles, and training for living a useful life have been incorporated into human existence...your interpretation considers those advances to be man inspired and somehow thus invalid for purposes of a well lived life...
We've already found more than that on Mars!
Gal 1:8
New King James Version
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.
I think this supports your 2 Tim 3 conclusions.
One of my kids blurted out, “the aliens are going to get molested!”
I don’t think this person is Catholic. Just a hunch.
Excellent. Thank you.
Fyi...If you enjoy alien invasion stories, you should check out Harry Turtledove’s “World War” series. He writes alternative history/sci Fi.
The World War series is about an alien invasion during the height of World War II. The premise is based on a reptilian alien civilization similar to the Roman Empire that colonizes less advanced civilizations. They sent a probe to earth around 1400 A.D. and they decide to invade when they see we how primitive your technology is (horses, swords, spears and arrows. But it takes them 500 years to prepare and then arrive here and when they arrive, we are in the middle of WW2 and although our weapons technology is limited, they are stunned and aghast to discover we have guns, bombs, tanks, and airplanes.
It’s a great read and lots of fun. I highly recommend it.
End times ping
Many have already rewritten the Genesis account. They describe themselves as evolutionary theists.
They are not contradictory.
The two alleged accounts of creation deal with general creation and then the specific creation of the Garden and mankind.
The geneologies are not in conflict as one follows Mary’s geneology and the other follows Joseph’s.
The group that saw an earth centric view of the universe was tre Catholic Church. The new NASA employee will no have to convince flat earthers and limousine liberals that the universe is bigger than themselves.
The other version is NASA already knows the answer of ET life and had to find a pitchman to sell it right. If only the CDC found the right spokesman…
Understandable. Pedos were always on the forefront of technology. No different here.... Pope Whatsit endorses....
The greatest hoax of all time is coming. Alien contact and government response to it will consume news media to the point that government corruption, crime and incompetence will cease to be reported on. The COVID crisis will disappear and Elon Musk will be named ambassador to the Aliens.
✝️🙏🛐
Let’s hope that the aliens are not extremely human-like. Our overall record of first contacts through history have not been exactly stellar!
