In a rather bizarre move, NASA has recruited a British priest to prepare the religious for the discovery of alien life as space agencies claim to be getting closer to discovering evidence that life exists outside of planet earth reports The Times.
Reverend Dr. Andrew Davison, a priest and theology professor at the University of Cambridge, is among 24 theologians who participated in a program sponsored by NASA at the space agency’s Center for Theological Inquiry (CTI) at Princeton University. The theologians attempted to assess how major religions would react to news of alien life being found.
A NASA expert said [to the U.K.] The Times: “We may not discover life for 100 years. Or we may discover it next week.”

Oh,
NASA will also have to approach the Muslims too,, /-)
Good luck with that NASA.
Paging Q**x, please pick up the white courtesy phone.
In other words we hired priest to tell us how convert the religious in to atheist.
Well they sure have that weird anal probing thing goin’ on.
Maybe NASA should have hired a priest to console everybody over the fact that there is NO other intelligent life in the universe and that we are IT.
TRANSLATION: We will be announcing a discovery to use against the Word of God, to deceive even the elect.

I guess many folks here do not remember the old Brookings Study published in 1960.
Here is the link:

Pretty soon NASA will hire “experts” to explain how to build bicycles!
We couldn’t find an American one?
I recently read a cool science fiction story about an ET race that blundered upon FTL transportation. They discovered Earth, and assumed they were superior to us. Soon they discovered that our weapons were much more advanced than theirs, our computers were smaller and faster. We also had nuclear warheads, something they had not even considered. Worse yet, humans were masters of warfare and the ETs were amateurs in tactics.
Speculation is fun, but nothing to hang one's hat upon. I like to think we have ETs patrolling around in our space; but, speculations like that don't do anything at all to enrich life.
Wow! That is a powerful question! I am very proud of you.
I’ve referenced it before but there is already a book by the man at the observatory in Arizona (!) which was Vatican built, Vatican funded and the subject of one episode of Ancient Aliens show ——

How many eyebrows raised at that headline?
Excellent point.
I am not egotistical or arrogant enough to assume I understand the Lord or His plans but the universe is an incredibly huge place. From an human perspective, it seems like an awful waste of space if we are the only ones here.
Regardless of that, whatever exists in the universe was created by the Lord God.
End of discussion.
That is how it sounds to me.
Now where have we heard this before…
“But the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. 5 For God knows that when you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." - Genesis 3:4-5
Fool us once…
Sounds like a good read. I love science fiction. Any chance you remember the title? I’d like to check that out.
If the space aliens are “woke” then it will be War of the Worlds.
The good news is we win.
Whatever they are.
Whoever they claim to be.
Whatever they claim to want.
Their arrival will be a very bad thing for humanity.
Or perhaps just half of an emissary exchange.
