All I want for Christmas is…
Covid?
Our twenty-something son came home for the holidays with the sniffles and we had him take a home Covid test, which came up positive. He’s going to the health department today for a formal test, but it does appear that we have an uninvited guest in the house.
My wife, 16-year-old son, and myself are not vaccinated. We are going to keep our distance and take some basic precautions. We will also be consulting our MD for advice and get ourselves tested after a suitable incubation period. We are taking zinc, vitamin D, and aspirin.
We can’t ask our son to leave. He just went through a bad breakup with a long term girlfriend. Things are also a bit complicated due to his dog being here with him and she’s mixing it up with our dogs.
Again, we’ll be seeking some real medical advice, but I’m curious:
What would any of you do in this situation?
I should add, that seeing the dark semicircles under our sons eyes, we were very worried. Everything went fine, as it will for you and yours.

My wife was diagnosed with COVID two days ago, but I wasn’t. She has flu symptoms, but I don’t.
Take your normal stuff for handling COVID. We are following the current FLCCC guidance, including the new Black Cumin Seed powder and honey (from studies available on C19early.com).
We got the ivermectin from a farm store, and I took it, too.
We have a winner.

* and I
My wife, 16-year-old son, and I are not vaccinated.
Understanding that my story is anecdotal, my wife was feeling poorly, took a home test & came back negative. Next day, we had our family over for dinner since my son was in town. Next day, my wife tested positive and the day after I did. We called our family and thankfully, none of them got it in spite of us being together for 2-3 hours. My doctor said generally speaking, you need close contact exposure for an extended period of time.
Ironically, when I tested positive, he told me to start a regiment of Vitamin D, Zinc and C. Had been and still taking D and Zinc since the beginning of COVID. I feel it’s the main reason for such a mild case. Best of luck!!
It’s not necessarily just age. My doctor said overweight people who are susceptible for weight related issues should be losing weight.
My double vaccinated husband has been in bed for over a week with a fever from COVId. Had monoclonal antibodies yesterday and is a new man today. The rest of us - unvaccinated - haven’t had a sniffle. (I had COVId Nov 2020 and the kids probably had it too) if you are under 60 and healthy, I wouldn’t be worried and may want to think about just opening yourselves up to getting it (I don’t mean drinking out of the same cup as your son - bit just pretend he has a cold and you might get it or you might not - enjoy Christmas, don’t let this rule your life) If you get it, you will have robust natural immunity going forward. It is freeing to be done with COVId and not worry about it anymore. My husband is glad he finally got COVId although he is irritated that he got the vaccine for all the good it did him. He hasn’t felt himself since May when he got it. (He got it because he has an auto-immune disease and he trusted his doc.)
“I lost 10 pounds when I had it”.. ummm, can you send me some spit? Its for a friend..

Sounds like someone is getting ready for a wedding.
I think we’ll find that Omicron is the final cleanup for COVID-19. The rapid rise and fall in South Africa is what will happen around the world, and it’s what we need for herd immunity.
Then it’s time to begin investigations and start filing charges against the vaccine pushers. COVID-19 vaccination effectiveness falls off the cliff after 6 months, and booster efficacy is even shorter. And we’re just begin to see the way adverse effects are destroying people’s immunity.
No more precautions after the omicron wave. It’s time to go back to living life and to making fun of the people that don’t.
Get plenty of sun, Zinc, Vitamin D, E, C, and take natural immune boosting supplements. I take elderberry and turmeric.
My whole household does this and we have had LOTS of exposures to Covid, never got it.
You cannot avoid getting exposed to the virus. Build up your defenses.
Stop the testing for the sniffles. It’s a cold. It’s never going to end with people running to get tested because they have a cold. They don’t give you anything anyway. Drives me insane.
I would add Pepcid (famotidine) to your otherwise great list.
Some pretty good studies showing that it has good efficacy against Covid improving outcomes across the spectrum.
“You cannot avoid getting exposed to the virus. “
This.
Vaccinated and unvaccinated all spread it. Be healthy as possible, and don’t worry. I’m over 60, and most people are stunned to discover this, as most think I’m in my 40’s. I’m in GREAT health, and am also waving off all fear of a virus. I’ve been taking supplements for years and years just for good general health.
I work two jobs, one I am not in close contact with a lot of people, but the other, I’m in all kinds of contact with people. I’m a hugger, and I hug. In loud environments, I’ll put my arm around total strangers and move in close in order to have a conversation.
Zero. If I have had it, I’ve had no clue. If I’ve never had it, I would not be surprised. I don’t give a shit. If I get it, I’ll get over it.
I think living in fear is far worse than getting a cold in the winter, although it’s been a good while since I’ve had a winter cold.
This study acknowledged an improvement in patients from Pepcid.
But they managed to disprove every theory they had of how it works.

My son had Covid last year. We live in AZ, so our house, while a decent size, is one floor. Split floor plan, so I quarantined him to the "kids" bedrooms side and I stayed on the master side. I had him text me if he needed drinks, food, etc. and left it outside his door.
The morning he started to feel sick-he thought it was just morning allergies and that he was tired-I drove about 2 hours with him.
I never caught it, thankfully. For him, 20, it was a very mild illness. He recovered in about 3 days but I kept my distance for about 10.
