CHANDLERVILLE — It was an encounter along Illinois 78 near Chandlerville that lasted just seconds. But it left a lasting impression on a driver going from Cass County to Tazewell County that night.
"When it hit the shoulder, it looked back at me," he said. "I said to myself out loud, '(expletive)ing Bigfoot!'."
Garver was driving the stretch of road about 10:30 p.m. Nov. 29, heading north, about 85 miles north of Alton.
"I saw a large animal jump into the road about 40 yards ahead. When it hit the road, I could see very large legs spread wide in a dead run with large, swinging, hairy arms. The arms switched back and forth close to the ground as its body was leaning forward. It leaped across the road in two jumps," he told investigators for the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organization, a scientific research group founded in 1995.
Garver said it was about two seconds before the creature vanished into the darkness.
"I could see it clearly," he said. "It was very large and, even though it was hunched over nearly horizontal, it still was close to being wider than my car and nearly to the top of my windshield. It blocked out the lights of (a) car ahead." He recalled it having shiny black hair and a huge stride. "It was running and leaping very fast," he said. "Nearly as fast as a white-tail deer."

Thousands of reports like this. They are not all made up or cases of mistaken identity, i.e. “It was a bear.”
Probably ran into Santa Claus after he was doing his pre Christmas down the chimney practice drills. Probably only wears his soot resistant red suit when he is making his rounds on Christmas.
Show me a “Bigfoot”/ “Saskwatch”/ “Yeti” carcass, and actual hair sample with unknown DNA — footprints don’t count — I want a body.
They don’t exist; it’s BS.

I had a girlfriend who saw very close to the same thing in Montana probably 30-40 years ago.
She never reported it, did not think anyone would believe her.
It is hard to believe, if a Bigfoot actually exists, they are magically able to detect trail cameras, and avoid leaving hair, scat, and footprints in snow or mud.
I fall on the side of pranksters (lots of them out there) and mistaken identity, easy to do, especially at night.
I worked with a guy who had an encounter with Bigfoot when he was about 8. This guy was awesome - very intelligent, fun to be with and always did the right thing. He was at his grandmother’s house in central NC near a very thick wooded area, playing outside with his brother who was maybe a year or 2 older than him and they both smelled something so strong- very musky. He turned and saw a very furry huge creature walking upright about 50 ft away. The animal was maybe 7-8 ft and didn’t look at them, just quickly walked by. He and his brother ran inside, screaming. When he told me about it, he was in his 40’s and the blood drained from his face as he recounted his fear and talked about the entire encounter. I absolutely believe him.

There is definitely something going on with these reports over the centuries including coming from the likes of Teddy Roosevelt.
With a lack of evidence, I’m inclined to lean towards something paranormal but who knows what.
I have always believed they are inter dimensional beings, that somehow can cross over back & forth .
In that sense I was sure I was seeing one here in Hawaii , but then I realized I was seeing a huge Hawaiian local with massive dreadlocks.He totally fooled me , for a second

i have two signs up in my back yard that specifically prohibits anyone feeding the Sasquatch. I have had no problems since posting those signs.
I remember teens getting their jollies doing stunts like this fifty-sixty years ago. One covered himself in aluminum foil and walked stiff legged down the side of a highway at night!
Others did other things just as silly. I’m surprised some did not get shot.
Only if it was being chased by an athlete in a track suit.

It was a very hot summer day and I was descending a small hill. Below and off to my right I saw what I thought was a black man wearing a parka striding quickly through high grass.
I thought, man, it sure is hot out to be wearing a coat like that. As he came closer I thought, no, it's a guy in a bee keeper suit, I wonder what his hurry is?
The weird thing was, that the figure was so dark that I never made out anything beyond it's silhouette.
He went straight into a small clump of trees at the bottom of the hill I was coming down. I looked into that wooded area but could see nothing more.
I'm not saying I saw bigfoot but, whoever it may have been looked very out of place and was acting damn strange.
