Man Shot during Argument over seat at Phipps Plaza Movie Theater, Police say

ATLANTA - One man is recovering in the hospital after a shooting at a Buckhead movie theater late Monday night.

Shortly before 10:45 p.m. Monday, Atlanta police were called to the movie theater inside Phipps Plaza on Peachtree Road.

According to officers, the gunman was angry about where the victim was sitting in the theater. An argument between the two men got heated, and the gunman opened fire, officials say.

The man who got shot chose poorly. The shooter wont be around long because he will eventually he meet up with someone whos faster on the draw.

I owned a nightclub in the general area being discussed. The Ray Lewis incident was merely the final nail in the coffin. Most owners looked to get out at that point. Say what you want, but there was only one color of the folks who were stabbing and shooting each in Buckhead.I had been going to bars in Buckhead since I was 14, and don’t remember even a fist fight. But then the hip hop clubs like the Cobalt lounge came in, and that was it.

Then they built a MARTA rail station right next to Lenox Mall.

...and the Cultural Enrichment quickly followed. It took them a while to migrate over to Phipps, but it too was eventually enriched with the wonders of Urban culture. We used to be a proper country.

Lenox Mall and Phipps Plaza were wonderful places to shop, have lunch, dinner and go to a movie. MARTA brought changes. Initially it was ok but then hordes of teens traveling in packs descended on Lenox Mall. If you were a white person you may have felt like a snowball in a coal mine.
Pushing, shoving, and escalating crime, made Lenox and Phipps undesirable places to be. Underground parking in both malls was in my opinion scary particularly when traveling with kids and hauling shopping bags. I really felt very vulnerable.

They now have metal detectors at the Lenox Square entrances, and a 3:00 p.m. curfew after which unaccompanied minors under the age of 18 are not allowed in the mall.

Still have to watch for the robbers in the parking lot, though.

No it's not color, it's what is strongly correlated with color (race).

Culture doesn't come out of thin air. It is a deliberate set of choices one makes everyday, and an understanding how those choices affect you in the long run.

And people with higher IQ's are more likely to make the better choices.

So it is the realities of these IQ curves below that explain much of the differences in behavior and thus the dominant cultures among the various racial groups.

It's that simple... and that complicated.

And never forget, those youths were/are riding MARTA for free, courtesy of passes provided by Atlanta Public Schools, Ostensibly so they could go to class, or the library. Or, lol, a job.

I think he was alluding to that book when he posted those bell curves. Another conclusion of the book is that unfortunately, the blacks on the low end of the IQ spectrum reproduce at far greater frequency than the Clarence Thomases, Thomas Sowells, Ben Carsons, et al. Instead, low IQ mates with low IQ and gives birth to low (or lower) IQ.
