WASHINGTON (AP) — President Joe Biden on Monday introduced the newest member of his family, a purebred German shepherd puppy named Commander, while the first lady’s office said the cat she promised more than a year ago to bring to the White House will finally join them in January.
...Biden shared a photo on his official Twitter account of the 3-month-old male puppy with a caption that said, “Welcome to the White House, Commander.”

Joe’s friends taking care of the four legged people eater are some brave folks.
It wasn’t the doggie that cr@pped on the carpet. The pup is an innocent scapegoat.
Dr. Egon Spengler : Forty years of darkness! Earthquakes, volcanoes...
Winston Zeddemore : The dead rising from the grave!
Dr. Peter Venkman : Human sacrifice. Dogs and cats living together... MASS HYSTERIA!
Well, there’s that famous quote, “If you want a friend in Washington, get a dog.”
Joe has alienated virtually everyone
“At least he didn’t name it Blondie.”
LOL,LOL
Joe, name the dog Brandon
lol, Tony Soprano’s dog went to “live on a farm”
OMG these asshats will do absolutely ANYTHING to get some kind of positive attention, YET poor Major gets booted from his home BASTARDS!!!
Agreed. Poor critters.
What will happen to the critters when they outlive him in a few years? Poor things.
After about six weeks, we took him to a shelter. It wasn't long before he was adopted. My son did a good thing, bringing him home. It was obvious that his previous owner just cut him loose, probably lived in an apartment and didn't take care of him.
FFS, this is total think tank propaganda BS. It is sad and hilarious. Wait for the top news story and the sleight of hand.
Reminds me of when the Clintons got a dog and a cat while they occupied the white house. They never struck me as animal lovers. I felt sorry for the critters then, just as I do now.
Well, ain’t that cute.
I’m all for animal companions, but I firmly believe that when you take on an animal, you keep it and care for it no matter what happens, because you’ve accepted the *responsibility*.
Why is Major farmed-out? Too much trouble, and not good PR?
“Yes, I replaced the dog. If only I could replace the Vice President!”
Just what I was thinking. We will pay for staffers to take care of the dog 95% or more of the time, just the occasional photo op with Biden.
Major Biten is in the doghouse
In fact, it may be "rats"...:-)
Yeh....I made the worst coffee....and it worked like a charm.
