What if they put YOU on trial FOR BEING CHRISTIAN, and you were ACQUITTED???
Vanity

Posted on 12/19/2021 10:12:16 AM PST by 2harddrive

Doesn’t it sometimes feel nowadays like we are living in a dystopian nightmare? We all see that things are now changing VERY FAST. If present trends continue we can certainly foresee a time when American Christians will be put on trial FOR BEING CHRISTIANS. It may easily be within our children’s or grandchildren’s lives.

But, have you considered the ignominy of it all, if they put YOU on trial for being a Christian, AND YOU WERE ACQUITTED? “Sorry, there is no real evidence against this guy; case DISMISSED!” That would mean you were not very Christian, would it not? That even a State or Federal Prosecutor with a virtually unlimited budget and the investigative powers of our monolithic government aided by the Cartel Media WAS STILL unable to find any clear-cut indication that your life was devoted to Jesus Christ, and to following and DOING the Will of our Lord.

I contend that being a Christian is a crime for which we should all be QUICKLY convicted, no hung juries should slow things down. And that means not only BEING Christian, but LOOKING THE PART. To VISIBLY, not secretly, profess our beliefs, defend the Faith, and to challenge the Woke, politically-correct, atheistically materialist status quo.

What about YOU?

And that means not only BEING Christian, but LOOKING THE PART.

What does a Christian look like?

And how is this "news"?

Your point is worthy of thought but,

In a worldly court what will be the standard of conviction? and right there, I assume there would be some justice instead of guilty by the charge.

What we do? What we say? Early church history shows us it was worship the state and deny God.

what does history teach us?

But the major point is, should we be worried about worldly courts?

Kill all the members of the group you like the least, and let God sort them out.

Now that I read that over, it does seem a little cynical. But that is the attitude of the command-and-control types that “manage” the behavior of those over whom they assume authority.

Question: who granted them the authority to begin with?

Were that the outcome, you be in de-Nile.... Denial means that you lie to other Christians in order to gain their acceptance.

Those who would be acquitted:

Homosexuals
Politicians
Money Changers or bankers
Muslims
The Pope
Most Democrats
Most Independents
Most Christians

The hearing would most likely try to have you deny Jesus as your Savior.

That's usually been what has happened in the past.

They don’t acquit those who confess.

It’s better to proclaim our Christianity with love rather than dark nightmares.

Anger issues? I merely answered the question asked by 2harddrive. If one is acquitted of being a Christian, then I weep for them since their eternity will be tortuous. I, however, would be convicted as I would gladly take the stand in my own defense and confess that I am guilty of the charges leveled against me. Sorry if my tongue-in-cheek answer was too much for you to follow.

I’m confused what “looking the part” means? I wear slacks.. does that make me less a Christian? I have red nail polish... does that make me less a Christian? Being Christian is what’s in your heart and soul not your body. IMHO.

Putting credence on those who hate you is a matter of foolishness.

And whom do you seek to please man or God?

A Christian looks like someone who loves Jesus more than they love their sin.

Humblegunner, I truly mean this. I hope you make it to Heaven.

I hope you make it to Heaven.

Me too.

I'm confident the Almighty knows me better than people on the internet.

Seems likely.

Sly as foxes...

The servants who hid Moses in the reeds, lied to protect him.

She who hid the spies, lied to protect them.

If you are acquitted to serve the faithful another day, wouldn’t that be a blessing?

How about the repentant murderer who is executed for his crimes?

I don’t want him to “BURN IN HELL!” either.

Many here do.
