What a coincidence. I’m watching/listening to “The Miracle of the White Stallions” a 1963 Disney movie. I’ll have to watch this Black Stallion movie.
Even the series is nice but the quality begins to drop around the sixth book until the last book which is down right awful.
It’s one of my favorites. I know you’ll enjoy it
Horse racing is crazy. J Rome is correct however in saying it’s not a sport.
Here’s one of my favorites. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N_XDeZvyDIs Miracle Of The White Stallions.
“it’s not a sport.”
Why not?
Some of my relatives are in the racing business. For them it’s 99% business and 1% sport.
For a few minutes though it’s one helluva sport.
Thank you! That was made when Disney was something to be proud of. I’m going to save it and watch it with my grandsons over the holidays. Thanks again FRiend.
LOL I knew someone was going to say that. Ok, let me ask this first: Do you know why J Rome said that horse racing is not a sport? (Take your time.)
Not to say that it’s not enjoyable to watch and bet on. But for the human it’s just staying on the horse.
You’re Welcome. I hope you and your grandsons enjoy it.
I wonder if anyone can tell me the name of this movie. I think it was made in the 40s, and I cannot remember much about the movie but that someone who needed help finding someone or something, and was helped by a girl who was really a horse, a man who was really a dog and I think another girl who was really a cat.
At the end of the movie they all turn back, the girl who was a horse watching a horse run around a racetrack or sees a racetrack and turns back, they don’t show that part, they just show her as a horse suddenly galloping the track.
” Ok, let me ask this first”
I asked you first.
That’s quite a story!
I’d like to know the name of that one, too.
What is the definition of a “sport”?
So, football, baseball, basketball and swimming are not sports.
Hockey on the other hand is a sport because there is no way I could skate and hit a puck with a stick. Same with gymnastics.
I would say horse racing would be a sport because while I can ride doing it on a running horse would (and has) result in me falling off.
