01:44 a strange trench 01:48 and at the end of it 01:50 a perfect disc 01:52 partially covered in sand and debris and 01:56 behind it 01:57 we have 01:58 random dunes 02:00 now i've removed some of the dunes 02:03 to give you an idea 02:05 of what we're looking at here or 02:07 potentially what we're looking at here 02:10 it looks like 02:11 a disc-shaped craft object 02:14 came in at a very low angle 02:17 and crashed into 02:19 the surface of mars

It is a tantalizing image. It’s in a highly inaccessible area, but perhaps with some of the better orbital imaging cameras we might get more clear images... or does NASA already have such images.... Hmmmm.

"Doh!"

Remember when NASA miscalculated, their Mars vehicle "bounced" off the surface, before the parachute deployed? After all these years, could it look like a flying saucer?

I wish the physical dimensions of some of the items in that photo were given. If that track is thousands of feet wide, that would likely dispel any remote idea the track is of “alien” origin. Without such, it’s just an unusual lucky glancing meteorite strike to me.

The irony of space travel: the first to venture toward the stars will be greeted by their generations-hence long-arrived descendants.

Since we have a helicopter on Mars, verify it.

Was that the one the astronauts left after they planted the flag?

” The irony of space travel: the first to venture toward the stars will be greeted by their generations-hence long-arrived descendants.”

I always thought that could be the basis for a great sci-fi story.

In the video.

Thanks, 12-15 meters according to the video... so that "complicates" things, doesn't it?!

Tucker Carlson mentioned UFOs again last night. Very briefly stated they exist and are not from Earth.

It was from South Africa that, in 1835, a giant telescope was set up in which they discovered bat-men and Beaver men on the moon!

I guess you do not pay much attention, and to the fact that is what they call it:

NASA lost contact with Mars helicopter Ingenuity for 15 breathless minutes

While it was indeed meant as a joke, the joke is based upon reality. 🙂

NASA conducted the 17th flight for the Ingenuity Mars Helicopter on Sunday, December 5. Everything went as planned during the helicopter’s 614-foot traverse to the northeast. However, during the final descent phase of the flight, the communications link between Ingenuity and the Perseverance Mars rover was disrupted. It appears the helicopter was able to land successfully. Approximately 15 minutes after the radio link was lost, Perseverance received packets of Ingenuity telemetry indicating the battery and flight electronics were healthy.

We both know exactly that.

My reference was to when Shirley Jackson Lee was at Mission Control in Houston and made some reference to a picture of the flag on the moon and said “Oh, is that the flag they planted on Mars?”.
