@RepThomasMassie
Show me a single state where Constitutionalists comprise a majority of the state legislature.
At this point in history, an Article V Convention of the States would be a disaster.

If that was true the liberals would be the ones screaming for it, not warning us about how awful it would be for us.
A convention of the states is different than a federal constitutional convention.
States can get their power back.
I disagree with the author. True, a Convention of States would be risky. But every day more and more of our Republic slips away. It’s time to roll the dice.
Hey, it’s OK to disagree.
The biggest thing you need to do is repeal the 17th.
The United States Senate is an embarrassment on a daily basis.
Senators should be appointed by the states and replaced when needs be.
No more Mitch McConnell’s making deals and playing games.
Hey, don’t throw me in that briar patch.

Agreed. That’s even more important than term limits, in my opinion.
And from what I’ve read, one reason the 17th A was enacted was that state legislatures sometimes became deadlocked, and so sent no senator to DC. That is easily fixed by requiring a run-off between the top two contenders, with the state’s governor having a tie-breaking vote.
Then there was the problem of corruption, with senate candidates buying the votes of state legislators. That’s no worse than the lobbyists (and their money) who pollute the process now.
Yes indeed it would be a disaster for Massie and his ilk.
Conservatives hold the power in the Article V arena.
I don’t get it?
I generally agree with an article 5 convention but I just wonder what would Let the frauds we have in office from just ignoring the amended constitution like they ignore the current one?

Hear! Hear!
Common sense. The constitution would read like a Chinese document when a convention was finished in this environment.
Article V ping.

I agree, you want Mike Shirkley and Jake Corman involved?
Who would have more power: Barack Obama or YOU?

For those (including me) wondering about Congressman Thomas Massie’s background:

He’s totally right.
He’s right about the state legislatures. Did you not pay attention to what happened in the stolen states last year?
They cannot ignore or abuse an Article V movement.
They can only ignore what they can ignore. They look for weaknesses and exploit what they can. It’s not much outside elections.
But an Article V process culminates in 38 state legislatures voting to ratify.
Even Marxists, with all their lies and underhanded tactics can’t overcome that barrier. If they could, they would have done so already.
