Former New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie helped build Donald Trump up in the 2016 presidential primary and now he’s trying to tear him down before the 2024 election.
He says it’s time for the Republican Party to move on from the boisterous former president and his stolen election claims.
The blunt ex-prosecutor and governor has been test-driving his anti-Trump message as part of a public relations blitz around the release of his new book “Republican Rescue,” separating himself from the lion’s share of Republicans who still hail Mr. Trump as their unquestioned leader.
But Mr. Christie is trying to pull off a high-wire act with “a lot of downsides,” said Ross Baker, a politics professor at Rutgers University in New Jersey.
“They include alienating Trump and incurring his malediction, and discovering that there are just not enough anti-Trump Republicans to win him a swing-state primary,” he said. “I think his chances in states that strongly supported Trump are vanishingly small.”
Mocking the idea that Mr. Christie’s message is penetrating, Mr. Trump this week blasted out a link to a headline from Brietbart.com that read “Exclusive: Donald Trump Already Sold 100,000 Copies of Book, 50 Times More than Chris Christie Book.”
Two days earlier, Mr. Trump shared another report from the Daily Mail that Mr. Christie had at that point sold a “paltry 2,289 copies.”

The Rino’s do need “something” to cut down the towering Trump.
But it’s not Christie.
Trump is a kingmaker....Trump-endorsed candidates usually win.
Trump can summon tens of thousands just by saying “rally.”
Now he’s hosting his own global social media reach out.
He’s unstoppable.
Hey, Fatso! Move over because nobody can get past you!
When I say “being paid”, you’re right. He’s probably not being paid by the GOPe directly.
But financing Presidential campaigns when you don’t have the money means somebody has to be somewhat “bought and paid-for” — beholden to his benefactors.
Hence, another virtue of Trump: his ability to act independently due to his wealth and self-made celebrity status before he ever said, “I’m running for political office.”
Sure Chris, we should all move on from putting America first. We should just resign ourselves to having our jobs shipped offshore and get used to being on the dole right?
Fat Chance, so to speak.
Christie has only about 10 years left and several million dollars so what does care?

If he’s trying to get an all-around tan, he’s asking a lot of the sun.
It took a very wide berth, but I have managed to get past this disgusting Fat Body RINO Obama Buttplug a long time ago.
I don’t believe that an electric car could make it on a single charge.

We already have a demented resident, no need for a 100% delusional one. Christie needs to wake up and smell the disgust conservatives feel for him.

People all around are saying either Trump or DeSantis, just ordinary people you meet, not talking heads.
Some real rhino should roll Christie in flour and look for the wet spots.
