You could be right. Because of the instant reward of getting somebody else’s nice stuff.
Gun owner is my preferred noun.
It won’t happen in my neighborhood. Too many ‘gun types’.
Yup. And some people wonder why semi-auto rifle platforms are so popular. In the case defense against these smash and grabs often involving 10 or more people, full-auto would be far preferable.
Best to move as far away from “vibrant” areas as possible, if possible.
I will only watch out for people I know are not democrats. Any democrat party voter is on their own.
It’s far riskier for them to attack the neighborhoods and for less reward. Remember, when you attack people’s homes they have the right to defend them with deadly force. Walmart and CVS don’t quite have the same latitude. Also, Walmart and CVS have a heck of a lot more stuff in them than my house does.
They may want to think twice about bringing this City crap to the Country. Especially remote communities. 30-06 FMJ will go through engine blocks just fine. They will not get that vehicle very far and it will be easy for LE to pick them up alongside the road.
“I disabled their vehicle and would like to make a citizen’s arrest”
If you’re a licensed concealed and carry individual shopping your local Best Buy when the flash mob shows up, what to do? It is definitely not your responsibility to try to stop the theft. Do you draw your weapon to deter violence against you? Would drawing a weapon potentially escalate the violence unnecessarily? Do you just keep the weapon at the ready, undrawn, until the attacks on people begin? Legally, does a brandishing charge apply if merely standing, gun in hand, watching these thugs rampaging? With the new American tiered justice system, we are in unchartered waters.
Time to arm the neighborhood watch...
Funny how neighborhoods with backhoes never seem to have a problem with rioters.
Good posts.
Perhaps its a good time for all of us to begin ‘talking’ with our neighbors. Perhaps starting off with “Hey, have you heard about these smash and grabs going on?” Probably a better lead in than talking about George Soros.
It’s not a matter of ‘if’ they start hitting neighborhoods. It’s ‘when’. As of now, there is no controlling authority willing to put a stop to this. How did the saying go? “Better to fight them over there than over here”. Well, unless they are addressed in the retail space, homes, churches, etc may be next.

It has been going on for years, I think since Obama Osama was Prez.
I don’t think they will. You can shoot them, and they have no idea what possessions you have.
We have a kid in the neighborhood who takes stuff when he is not in the Bug House. Sometimes people have to walk down to his house and get their gas can back. That’s about it.
He gets locked up for smacking his mother and sister around.
I live in Florida.
The local Wal-Mart had two county deputies hired to protect its electronic section yesterday.
Actually, no.
Shoot a minority attacker in self-defense and a jury will decide your fate.
And given the Wokeness of our current world, you will not be "protected."
i watch out for my neighbors like a hawk!
New neighbor moved in, their guests have a funny habit of parking to look directly down mine and my neighbors driveway.
2ce now they abruptly hit the gas and leave when they see us. I took down the plate # and car description.
Don’t come visit us, buddy.
It will sweep across my town until, and only until, it sweeps towards me. Then it will stop, dead in its tracks.
Didn’t we just see three guys get convicted for taking actions they thought would protect their families and neighbors? We might criticize them for being dumb but when prosecutors will go hard after the most ironclad self defense case it is difficult not to look dumb when the case is less than ironclad.
