Kamala Harris appeared to contradict Biden, saying Kyle Rittenhouse verdict shows the criminal justice system needs to be more equitable

Vice President Kamala Harris commented on the verdict in Kyle Rittenhouse's homicide trial, suggesting it showed the criminal justice system is not equitable, apparently contradicting President Joe Biden's remarks.

In a tweet Friday evening, the vice president and former prosecutor said: "Today's verdict speaks for itself. I've spent a majority of my career working to make our criminal justice system more equitable. It's clear, there's still a lot more work to do."

While Harris' comments seemed to condemn the outcome of the trial, Biden had stood by the jury's decision earlier Friday.

"I stand by what the jury has concluded. The jury system works and we have to abide by it," Biden told reporters on the White House lawn.

In a written statement that followed, Biden said: "While the verdict in Kenosha will leave many Americans feeling angry and concerned, myself included, we must acknowledge that the jury has spoken."

100 days is not long enough’: Protesters celebrate sending a sustained message against police brutality, racial injustice

‘100 days is not long enough’: Protesters celebrate sending a sustained message against police brutality, racial injustice

Milwaukee Journal Sentinel
A group supporting The Peoples Revolution marches from Johnsons Park on West Fond du Lac Avenue through the streets of Milwaukee on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. The group marked the 100th day of marching since widespread protests began in Milwaukee on May 29, four days after George Floyd, a Black man, died when white Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes during an arrest.
The moments before a protest march can be a bit disorganized, but on Saturday, as people gathered at Johnsons Park to mark 100 days of marching against police brutality and racial injustice, it felt more like a celebration.

Kids flew kites and swung on swings with their parents behind them. Teenagers and young adults played touch football. Others relaxed with their signs under the shade of a tree and listened to music. The event was sponsored by a group called The Peoples Revolution, which has been part of many Milwaukee area marches.

Danielle Washington, who spent part of the day chasing her 2-year-old daughter Victoria around the playground, said more work needs to be done to create the change she wants to see.

“It hasn’t been long enough,” Washington said. “We’ve been enduring such racism and brutality for centuries, generation after generation, I feel like 100 days is not long enough. But it is definitely long enough to send a message ... that we’re not tolerating such abuse and brutality and neglect anymore.”

Widespread protests began in Milwaukee on May 29, four days after George Floyd, a Black man, died when white Minneapolis Police Officer Derek Chauvin knelt on his neck for nearly nine minutes during an arrest.

Gaige Grosskreutz, 26, of West Allis, who was shot in the arm by Kyle Rittenhouse in Kenosha, holds up his arm before a march beginning at Johnsons Park in Milwaukee on Saturday, Sept. 5, 2020. Marchers called for an end to police brutality and racial injustice.
On Saturday, Washington was appreciative of the festive, family-friendly atmosphere.

“It’s important to me that she sees families engaging with one another and having a good time,” Washington said, referring to her daughter. “It’s been difficult sometimes for people to have a good time with this calamity going on around us, people dying, people getting evicted, there’s so much going on. So, this is something that we can enjoy together.”

During a rally before the march, no one got more of a welcoming cheer than Gaige Grosskreutz, the street medic who shot during a protest in Kenosha on Aug. 25. Kyle Rittenhouse, 17, of Antioch, Illinois, has been charged in the shooting, which also killed two protesters.

Grosskreutz came wearing a cast and sling on his right arm, where he was shot.

“Words are difficult right now, a lot to process,” Grosskreutz said to the crowd of about 100 people. “At no point, regardless of the topic, whether you are for or against the topic that is being protested, nobody should fear for their safety.”

Grosskreutz thanked the protesters and said they are “the reason I’ve been out here, am out here, and still will be out here.”

“Long live the revolution,” Grosskreutz said at the end of his speech, lifting his right arm and making a fist above his head.

Afterward, Grosskreutz told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel he is still processing what happened to him.

“This (expletive) hurts, for sure,” Grosskreutz said, wiggling the fingers on his wounded arm.

Ah yes. That word again.

Apparently she wants convictions to be meted out by something other than guilt.

Yes it should be. If Rittenhouse was black the DA would have refused to charge him and Leftist run cities would be putting up statues and painting mural of him.

The term "equity" has never been properly defined by the politicos who bandy it about as though it had been mentioned in the Constitution, and debated by constitutional experts since the beginning of time.

Does she mean that the verdict should have been more racially equitable? If so: How? The defendant and all the alleged "victims" were White.

Does she mean that it should have been more "equitable" with regards to "gender-identity?!"

Great minds want to know...

Regards,

Yes, “trial by jury” needs to be replaced by “trial by reporter”.

That will solve the problem. /s

How was this different from Biden? He said he was angry and disappointed by the verdict. He is on record calling Rittenhouse a white supremacist with no evidence of any kind.
More media BS.

Even though Kamila worked to get heavy sentences for many black drug dealers, she suddenly finds the system “racist”.

Because for lefties, all they have is to claim things are “racist”.

The Kyle Rittenhouse situation is another perfect example further proving my long-held contention since the Democrat Party Cabal (DPC) stole the 2020 Presidential Election. Was the DPC satisfied with stealing the election for senile Sleepy Joe? No. In fact, the DPC became even angrier after it stole the 2020 election. That's because the DPC desperately fears a 2024 Trump victory. Thus, the DPC continues maniacally bashing President Trump and his 75 Million+ voters on a 24/7/365 basis.

Rittenhouse is a Trump supporter, thus the DPC will intentionally lie about him forever. The DPC constantly claims Rittenhouse's "white tears" and "systemic racism" throughout the U.S. got him "off the hook." The DPC also dishonestly continues calling him a "vigilante murderer." Basically, the DPC is one huge Automated Lie Machine meant to bulldoze American public opinion.

P.S. The DPC includes the MSM, academia, most corporate CEOs, violent BLM, RINOs, Antifa, Hollyweird/entertainment, and all pro sports leagues.
