A 10-point buck sought sanctuary inside a southern Michigan church on opening day of the state's firearm deer hunting season. Pastors at Grace Christian Fellowship in Sturgis encountered the buck inside the church's auditorium on Monday before it leapt through a window and back into the wild.
A video the church posted on Facebook shows the buck wandering around the church.

Praying to survive the season?
It must have heard my son is there looking for a volunteer for the freezer.
So now we know where the buck really stops.
Yes, the prayer that starts "Deer Lord in Heaven..."
It’s from CBS so I don’t believe it
It was on Local Detroit News on the 15th…….Pastor gave an interview.
The deer do act odd and are seen in strange places that they normally avoid every deer season in November.
It’s assumed their behavior is a result of fear and panic as the woods and Forest are filled with people walking around or in deer blinds and deer camps.
Deer population is outta control! Now they are camping in Churches like they own the place!
It was just there for ... cervuses
thanks for the screen grabs, COBOL2Java :)
Hey, there’s an animal in the building. Let’s yell and clap to keep it calm.
The church leaves their windows wide open during November nights?
Must have been a very wide window.
Guess you could hang and gut him over the baptism pool.
"CONGRATULATIONS! You have officially won "Comment of the Day". See Daphne in the "Prizes and Promotions" office...just down the hall on the left...for your trophy and check."
"Everyone else...we won't be considering anymore comments today. Please try again tomorrow."
Certainly makes one question the agenda of the story.
I suspect it checks the box of “white rural people are evil” with a “look at this poor innocent deer”.
They do everything for the agenda, even a deer in a church story.
No, it isn't. Males get filled with hormonal rage every rut--during deer season--and do lots of weird and dangerous things to themselves.
