Obviously the source of this global phenomenon is demonic. We struggle not against flesh and blood, but against thrones, dominions, principalities and powers that are not of this world. But God protects us against direct attacks from these powers (until his Wrath is unleashed at least). While we need to worry about those who submit to their authority in this world, and carry out in flesh their machinations, we need not fear... God wins, and we must hold fast in prayer and purity.

As long as this life seems at times, it’s nothing in light of eternity.
While I will not submit to tyranny, whatever happens to me here is ultimately of no consequence in the long run.
The worst they can do is kill me, and since I’m going to die someday anyways, it’s really just a matter of when and how.
Not that I’m looking forward to the process….
