With a 65% vaccination rate and probably at least 15% with natural immunity, 80% or more of Austrians should have immunity from Covid-19. But cases are currently higher than at ANY time in 2020 when NO ONE was vaccinated, and double what they were at this time last year when no one was vaccinated.

Blaming it all on the unvaccinated seems a bit facile. Something else is going on.

A recent report from UK health officials estimated that 98% of the population now has Covid-19 immunity, whether from the vaccines or natural immunity based on previous infection. But the UK is in the middle of a "surge" in cases that has lasted five months,

Austria has a similar (slightly less - 65% vs 67%) vaccination rate to the UK, and so probably has something like 90-95% total immunity (vaccinated + natural). Yet Austria is still seeing a huge rise in cases. That shouldn't be. Something is wrong.
