With a 65% vaccination rate and probably at least 15% with natural immunity, 80% or more of Austrians should have immunity from Covid-19. But cases are currently higher than at ANY time in 2020 when NO ONE was vaccinated, and double what they were at this time last year when no one was vaccinated.
Blaming it all on the unvaccinated seems a bit facile. Something else is going on.

The jab isn’t working and has no effect on the current variant or making this worse. Not sure which yet.

Schallenberg pointed out that while the seven-day infection rate for vaccinated people has been falling in recent days, the rate is rising quickly for the unvaccinated.
“The rate for the unvaccinated is at over 1,700, while for the vaccinated it is at 383,” the chancellor said.

what this means is, there is still a very high background rate of covid and the unvaccinated are getting nailed. I’m guessing the 1700 and 383 is per 100K?
